Google Street View now at Six Flags New England

We told you it was coming. Now it is finally here! Take a virtual tour of Six Flags New England even when the park is closed. Since off season is approaching closely, we don’t have to worry about missing the park in the winter. We can “walk through” it any time. You will also notice that there are some backstage areas that you can explore.

It’s quite obvious that these were taken in the summer of 2011. Therefore Goliath isn’t in the park yet. You will see Shipwreck Falls still. The chances of Google coming back with the Street View team are slim to none.

You will also notice some pretty funny things. For legal reasons they have to blur peoples faces out. I thought they did this manually. However I then saw Kontiki and noticed that the some tiki faces were blurred out. This must be because a software auto detects “faces” and blurs them out. Another thing I noticed is how bad some things (that aren’t rides) need paint jobs. Let us know if you find any other glitches or cool things.

Well what are you waiting for? Go check out Google Street View!

The current Google aerial view was taken sometime during the beginning of the 2012 season, Goliath’s track was nearly completed but the cranes were still there and the area was still fenced off.

I’m thinking it had to have been March 2012.

On Google Earth it says the exact date the picture was taken on the bottom. It was March 29th
