SFNE kicks off its 2012 season!

Postby BizarroAj » Sat Apr 14, 2012 4:45 pm

Due to traffic i ended up arriving at 10:10 so i missed the rope drop and the meetup with everyone, but i did catchup with everyone at lunch in the New JBs BBQ. The park looked great and all the new stuff they added looks awesome, of course somethings werent open yet and service was slow which is to be expected on opening day. JBs is very nice and it was quite crowded when we were there. Im sure it will be tough to get in during the summer months. A couple of rides were having some minor breakdowns but every ride was open. I took a bunch of pics so enjoy!

I Had heard they were using a tandum bus but when i went down to get a pic i only saw the tram!

It looks like SFNE changed their plans about adding another entrance to Looney Toons but they have removed the Marvin space ship ride and the tinsel town train has been removed.

Nice report. The spiked towers do not look as good with the supports of the spike towers green. Looking at the ride carefully from the pics, it seems that its size was just as big as I last remembered seeing it. Man, looking at the pics of this ride makes me feel like I am at magic mountain again. Cant wait to go when this ride opens!

This pic was sent to me by Thomas, which shows the bus SFNE was using in the lot!

I rode that bus into the park and the tram out of the park.
The bus is nice in regards to it will be A/C during the summer, but the loading/unloading is poor.

The only way to get on it early is to wait at the last queue to be in front of the door, and don't sit in the back as you will be last off of it.

I do not think these are a good alternatives to trams.

Your totally right, loading on these are so slow. Why do you think they switched? These aren't electric, right?

It's really bizarre for me to see a ride that I've been on countless times now operating at another park, and with a new name. It'll probably be awhile before I get the Deja Vu name out of my head. However, I must admit...it looks like they did a really nice job with the Goliath installation. Looks awesome and I'm sure you're going to have a lot of fun riding it. :-)
