Time to open up this thread. We know that we're still getting the Star Flyer, but what else might the park have in store?

What do you guys think will replace Catapult? I think the most likely scenario is that they will change the location of the Star Flyer to Catapult's spot. There are also some other scenarios, so read the blog post. ;)

    1. The star flyer will look better where Sky Coaster is in my opinion versus Catapult's old spot.

    2. I read the blog. I hope SFNE does not get a flying scooter & tilt-a-whirl in Catapult's spot; I would prefer something like a Monster or Round-Up - those to me are more exciting flats that are still family-friendly - Kidzopolis already has family-friendly, milder flats - SFNE needs medium-thrill family flats

    3. Although SFNE is land-locked, the park also has various spots to place rides, especially if Flashback is removed in a few years and the maintence building is relocated between Tomahawk & Cyclone.

    4. relocate Kontiki in Catapult site?

    5. could an Intamin impulse coaster (like V2: vertical velocity), and appropriate queue fit in Catapult's spot?

^They would only get a super round up. Six flags wouldn't add a lower capacity ride like that especially since canobie already has one.
I personally don't see a tilt-a-whirl ever coming back to any six flags park.
Kontiki? They would really have to theme that to make it fit in with either the american or blizzard river theme to make it work.
And a intamin pulse isn't a bad idea. But I am pretty sure they would have to get into some buffering zone issues since it is so close to the street.

I do really like the idea of a launched coaster. The station could be where Catapult is and it can go next to the road and behind Catapult. An Intamin or Premier launch coaster would be sweet. I was also thinking about a B&M hyper that goes towards the parking lot but that will never happen or be approved but it would be sweet :D

So, we are completely sure we're getting a SkyScreamer for 2014? Based on the extremely cheap rides we got this year and the fact the SFNE has only spent fractions of their budget so far, I think we're getting more than just a SkyScreamer for 2014.

Anyway, I'm still waiting for our iSpeed replica.

I would be happy with anything that has a high capacity and something special, catupult was very cool and there is nothing like it...

I would throw out any ideas of a new coaster for 2014. 2015 seems like a more realistic thought, with all the rumors of Mind Eraser getting the axe, but irrelevant to next year.

I think they will still put the Star Flyer in DDD's spot, because it seems like a good fit, plus they have approval for that area. Catapult's area could be used for a flat, and as weird as it sounds, a bathroom. The closest bathroom is in Looney Tunes. It would be nice for people looking to change after Blizzard River. Or they could put bathrooms in the trampolines old spot, which could free up space for maybe a 2nd flat.

Realistically though, a 400ft Star Flyer is not a cheap investment. Millions go into these rides, and going through 2 years with "cheaper" attractions (2013 and 2014) could really help us get a nice ride in a few years.

^I don't see mide eraser going anywhere. I'll belive it when I see it.

I'd love to see NE get something out of the ordinary for a six flags. They need to spread their horizons, especially with their flats.
Air Race is a great flat with decent capacity. It would be AMAZING if they could get something like that because believe it or not, six flags is now tied with compounce and canobie for inverting flats. Only 1! :x

Dan, yes!!, decent-sized restrooms are a must in the North End! Great point. But I would rather see them more on the main pathway than up there next to Cyclone.

I agree with many, the north end needs a restroom, old trampoline spot would be excellent! I think for 2014, it would be great if they did the iron horse treatment to Cyclone, which would completely update the ride, and make it a lot more thrilling, plus they could add an inversion or three! Then add a flat or two where Catapult was, hopefully adding at least ONE that GOES UPSIDE DOWN, and we would have a completely transformed and AMAZING north end for 2014!!!
