They added like 20 changing rooms outside the bathroom near the hh entrance. They are all unisex. They came out great but they are so dark inside

I agree to disagree with you. Read Sara's point. The casino is going to market as a resort and part of their marketing will promote stays at the casino and also include some area restaurants, the Basketball Hall of Fame, Mass Mutual Center's Springfield Falcons hockey, Easter States Exposition (Big E), Bright Nights (holiday lights at Forest Park) and Six Flags among others. Keep in mind, the casino did sponsor our Sky Screamer and there were press releases at one time about the casino speaking (somewhat foolishly- IMO) of a water shuttle to the park.

I believe it kinda makes sense to "Go Big, Go Six Flags" and market something awesome so its possible to see something big. Then again, the park may wait and see how the casino impacts attendance before budgeting for something

If that answer from Sally Corp is true, then SFNE will probably be getting a water park addition or a few flats. They will probably also do some work to Thunderbolt including being able to run two trains.

Yes I recall the discussions about shuttles to local attractions. I'm sure they will also be able to arrange tickets, likely at a discount. Which is likely the case with many local hotels. Regardless The impact will be based on the casino and whether or not their guests will bother to visit the park. if anything this would be a good year to invest in capital improvements Since there are plenty of spots were the park could use more work.
Hopefully with a hold if we get a dark ride down the line we will get something unique instead of a clone of what is at SFGAdv. I wouldn't hold my breath on an update of Thunderbolt.

A very reliable source online who has been correct in the past has said that SFNE, Six Flags Oaxtepec, and SFOT will be getting
    the Thunder Rapids Water Coaster
in 2018. This coincides with our discussions and would be a perfect fit, I hope it's correct!

I took a walk around hurricane harbor yesterday and they are tight on space there. The only space big enough for a water coaster is bonzai beach which was pretty empty yesterday. They could squeeze a bowl slide between bonzai pipeline and typhoon, but thats about it for space without another expansion.

I don't see any room for that water coaster unless they were to remove something. I haven't been on Typhoon, but I imagine the Thunder Rapids coaster is similar.

I am not too familiar with the water park, but one thing I have always wanted them to do is move the water park entrance to where Whistlestop Park is. Would get rid of all the traffic and It seems like it would make a lot of sense to do that. They would probably have to remove the family raft ride but a wide bridge going over the lazy river and a giant new bath house would be an excellent move imo. Each time I have been to HH, the entrance area feels too congested.

But they could probably eat into the preferred lot a little and put it in around Typhoon and the Splash area.

Interesting idea but if they are going to do that they might as well replace the one they have. They really don;t need 2 water coasters or have the room for both of them not without eating up more preferred parking lot.

Entrance to HH is where it is probably for a reason. It would be great if you could enter by whistlestop but it benefits the parks concessions and merchandise shops to route traffic past them. Believe me, I have a daughter and she and her friends stop at all the shops for something, then they want a snow cone etc...

exactly and that is further into the park it originally was. An entrance at whistle stop would also require a bridge since there is a drive way between whistle stop and the water park to an employee area.

The Oaxtepec is just Hurricane Harbor
    --- Double Post Merged ---
Idea, remove that kids area for the expansion and send the rides to Great Escape and La Ronde to put the water coaster there (thus allow a new entrance to the water park right from the park entrance)

Another thought is it could be a park maintenance year. I know most people would hate that but you have to give the park a break because we just got 2 new coasters this year plus the addition of holiday in the park. You have to admit that sfne has gotten the most attention out of all the sf parks over the last few years.

If there are capital improvements I'm still holding out hope maybe Superman will get the new trains it deserves. It's already an improvement over Bizarro but I'd like to see the park take that one last step to get the ride back on top.

There's a rumor that a ride will be retired at the end of the season.
