Did you know that The Chinese were using the decimal system as early as the fourteenth century B.C., nearly 2,300 years before the first known use of the system in European mathematics? The Chinese were also the first to use a place for zero.

Did you know the first scientist to do the double slit experiment in quantam physics had the same last name as me? His name was Thomas Young and (I think) he was French, so there could be some connection there. He pointed electrons (a laser) through a single slit and the light appeared in the shape of the slit on the wall behind it. He then pointed the laser through two slits and saw an interference patteren which proved that light acts both as particles and waves. Sound hard? Nope, you can do it at home with a laser pointer and some pieces of lead placed closely together.
