    here is an economical upgrade-
Put the scrambler inside the Hall of Nothingness- strobes, some loud guitars, fancy new wrap with graphics on the ride itself and black lights...

Here's one... Enclose the Teat Cups during Fright Fest, add in some fog, strobes and crazy lights and market it as a major addition for Fright Fest. It could be like the Terror Twister at SFGAM.

That would be insane. I would totally love that. But GAm has it easier because their teacups are actually in a building in the first place.

You are correct, but all it would take are some black tarp-like things to cover the sides.

While I agree that that is entirely possible/very easy to do and that it would be amazing, I just have three words to say.

    Its Six Flags.

Santa's Village dose this with their Himalaya during their Halloween event. and half of that building is open. Still works well for them. they add the smoke between cycles and do both orange lights and strobes.

Thunderbolt should run backwards again for FF. They're running American Eagle backwards, right?

^Yup, but thats stopped Sept. 17th. And since we are taking about Fright Fest here, we should move this discussion over to that thread.

We'll see American Eagle run backwards for FF. Think about it, the period in which they are now running it backwards could be considered a "slow" time because everyone is going back to school, so if they market this ride going backwards for a limited amount of time, people will find the time to go to the park and ride it while bringing in some business during this "slow" time. Once September 17th rolls around, they'll have AE run forwards again, but they'll probably then announce that "Because of the massive popularity of American Eagle running backwards, it will be running backwards once again for Fright Fest starting Saturday, October 1st!"

I think the plan was to use that strategy, but they were going to market it as a new for 2012 addition, instead of for Fright Fest.

How About Putting New Trains on Cyclone, have them be like the original ones with the lap and shoulder straps and the lap bar?

New Trains make sense. shoulder straps don't. Having extra straps would slow down opening and cause even longer waits.
