IMO the wristbands would be problematic. I mean if you gave people who couldn't ride wristbands they'd rip them off and if you gave people who could ride wristbands people would find a way to transfer. They would need to come up with a more high tech solution so they wouldn't get ripped off. I can't think of a way off the top of my head though.

When you say waistband do you mean like the paper ones that you would get at a fair or something? Because maybe a more high tech way could he a bracelet that is locked to your arm and only workers can unlock it. I guess kinda like half a handcuff. This way there's no way of taking it off or transferring it, but I guess it could lead to some problems.

Yeah but then that could have tons of problems and you dont want to feel like you're a prisoner at the park. I mean it could cut off circulation, cause a rash, and would probably be really expensive to have.

Well the don't nessacaraly have to be skin tight. By enough to fit freely on your arm, but small enough so you can't slide it off. But yeah thats what I meant by problems. IMO I wouldn't feel like a prisoner. A red bracelet that says Go Big! Go Six Flags! that I wear for a day. And maybe a way to bring in a small profit is say the Non Rider ticket cost $10 then if they want to keep it as a souvineur it cost another $10. Maybe its a profit, I don't know.

The big/true Theme Parks offer non riders a lot to see and take in. Disney and Universal have some awesome stuff, including shows and parades that provide some great memories.

Storyland to a lesser degree. But they still have such great theming that non riders, handicapped, and elderly could have a great time watching their kids/grandkids/friends

If Six Flags were to add a real parade- with all the characters- really leverage the brand- similar to Disney- that would be a draw.
The park would recoup revenue because the prices for food and merchandise inside the park are set high so the adults/grandparents that are non riders would certainly spend once inside

I have been to parks that have used wristbands. They would have to be on everyone riding. The majority of them use a coated paper wrist band bu there are only only stand up so much. They would have to offer a silicon or plastic band to allow admission to the water park. The bands can be cut off after getting home and offer a lice little souvenir. The general rule is it need to be on your wrist they can't be cut off and presented in hand. If a band were to come off you have to go to Costumer service with your receipt to get a new one.

If using an electronic system every each band has a bar code and every ride would have a reader attached to a tun style. The bonus here would be that the scanners track throughput and offer statistical data on the attractions use. it can even be programed to track much more data.

The system can cost upwards a half million and on something SFNE size likely closer to 750,000.

As for offering more it would help. but it goes beyond offering more you have to offer a quality product along with the variety. That is one area that Canobie has always excelled at. their shows are high quality.

I have used Tyvek wristbands for events of mine in the past, like concerts and a haunted attraction, and they're very durable and could even last in a water park for a day. Barcoding and custom logo imprinting would be a very minimal cost for the bulk quantities Six Flags would have to buy. But like previously mentioned, there are more durable vinyl wristbands out there too. It would be a great system to use because you could attach age, height, gender, or any information the park would find valuable to the barcode. It would give invaluable information about what rides are being used the most, by what age group, etc. The majority of the cost would go towards having a system in place at every ride to read the barcodes, but after the initial set up, costs would be very low. We're talking about less than a cent for each band. However I just don't see them applying a system like this to the parks. I know people would complain about discomfort, which really wouldn't be very existent, and I'm sure people would try to rip them off and share, and when they get caught they'd storm to Guest Relations and complain about how they weren't doing anything wrong and it was an "accident." It could be a great system, but it also could lead to many headaches.

lol, you got into a lot of the specifics with the bans abilities I figured I wouldn't.

They use this system at Rye Playland and it works well, the band is also scanned when leaving as an electronic hand stamp that can then be rescanned to reenter the park.

Why does everyone keep complaining about Bizarro's current trains? I like them more than Superman's. I find the lap bar to be awesome and i think it's mad comfortable to sit in them.

Well the headrests obstruct your view unless youre in the front, the lapbar is super thick, the trains. But the one reason I want superman trains is because you got so much more airtime!
