i think it comes up because of the way it is set up. When they relocated the entrance way back when I suspected they would change to a separate admission since the entrance was moved to the parking lot area. but that never happened. I doubt they will separate it because they loose bragging rights. they can now advertise it as the largest free admission water park in NE. Which is true. if they charge admission they can't say they are the largest since water Country is bigger land wise and around the same size slide wise. Not sure of my head how they compare overall to Water Wizz after the last couple of expansion so they may not even be able to claim biggest in Mass.

The water park brings in so much attendance (and trash lol) that it supports it being a "free" admission and helps us get bigger attractions for the dry park. I know there is only a handful of us on here that go to the waterpark regularly, but it's always packed with GP and I'm sure it's mostly families that paid for the day. I can't see them ever changing to a separate admission. I think the park would lose a lot of business by doing that and the attendance for both the dry and water parks would decrease, effectively decreasing the investments SFI has given to us for the past several years.

I never want to see a separate water park at SFNE.

I am sure they have looked at the possibility of separate admissions many times. It comes down to economics. How much $ would the separate admission generate vs. how much you lose off the current SP base. Plus how much more does it cost to staff and maintain separate gates, separate passes etc. Also, if the overall crowd diminishes (and it will) how much is lost to food sales and other purchases. So far, the answer must be that the separate admission way is not profitable enough to pull the trigger.

Another thing making this unlikely is the fact that so many parks have started doping there separate admissions. Look at all the CF parks that have converted to all in one admission instead of separate gates.

So I've been thinking about this and here's what I would do:

-New trains for Superman, with the T-Bars, if I couldn't get those back, I'd get El Toros lap bars, chop the headrest off for that old school SROS open feel, I'd change the lift to a cable lift to send into the layout just a bit faster (idek this is even possible), oh and I'd change it back to Bizarro and bring the flames back just to mess with everyone. And I'd have it open during Holiday in the park.

-Get rid of GCG for Justice League Battle for Metropolis dark ride.

-Get rid of Flashback for a Skyrocket II clone. I know Lake Compounce has one just 45 minutes away but Phobia is awesome and it would be a great fit for SFNE.

-Get rid of Mind Eraser for a B&M invert that's along the lines of something like Afterburn @ Carowinds.

-S&S Screaming Swing in literally any spot I could fit it.

-Intamin Pre-Fab woodie in the picnic grove. It'd be a lot like El Toro just after the turnaround it would have one more big ejector hill and a couple more ejector hops in the twister section.

-Enterprise in Kryptonite Kollider's current pad.

    - A couple small flats in Whistlestop Park.

-Flying Scooters in the current smoking section right outside Blizzard River.

-Instead of getting rid of Buzzsaw, I'd move it to right next to the bumper cars building, just cut those trees down.

-Change the re-ride policy so it's like Great Adventure (if you don't know what I'm talking about, next time you go to Great Adventure go to El Toro or Nitro right at opening, it's very easy to get 10+ rides or more on both for about an hour after opening)

-Two train operation on Thunderbolt, new trains so the restraints don't have to be unlocked manually.
