This is, quite honestly, the best post I've ever read on this website.

I've (sadly) never been to Knoebels, but I can already tell it'd be my favorite amusement park. A perfect balance of old and new, and cheap prices, and simply stunning wooden coasters, not only to ride, but look at, Knoebels really has it all.

Phoenix is a hidden treasure. I wonder what people thought when Dick bought the ride in the 80's. I wonder if people thought it was worth it. Clearly it ended up a huge win for the park.

Knoebels is certainly a special place and it impressed me a lot more the second time around! Twister and Phoenix are a ledgenday 1-2 punch!

We ran into Knoebels early in our time in this hobby. Casey was about 12 and it was our first overnight coaster trip. Coaster Tony, who we met at LC and who many of you may know, was talking to us and suggested a weekend trip of Knoebels, Hershey and Dorney.

We like Hershey and Dorney but fell in love with Knoebels. We had no idea how unique Knoebels was since we hadn't done much in the hobby yet. Now 14 years later we try to get there every year. We have our favorite rides, our favorite foods, and just love the way we are treated there by a great staff.

We now are the "Coaster Tony's" telling every young enthusiast that they need to go to Knoebels!

I actually found knoebels by accident as i was on my way to cedar point back in 1999 and saw the billboard off I-80 so we ended up stopping there. I have been every year since then. I think the biggest draw for me is the awesome food at rock bottom prices. I love a good breakfast to start my day and knoebels is one of the only parks i know of that has full service breakfast starting at 8am, so you get to walk through an empty park. Sometimes we bring a gas grill and cook out in the picnic groves or we go to the alamo restaurant which is really good. How many other parks can you bring your pet inside or bring a fishing pole in and fish in the river that runs through the park? :)

I went for the first time last year. My dad, who is not as much of an enthusiast as I am, was worried that it would be not worth the 3.5 hour drive, but he was definitely proved wrong :) I hope to go back sometime soon!

My trip to Knoebels last week was awesome, this park does everything right and is just pure fun. We got there at around 1:30 and they were open until 6:00, so we had a good amount of time there. We got all you can ride bands and went to Phoenix.

Phoenix is easily one of the best wooden coasters out there, I have been on it once before and was able to get around 10 rides this time. This ride has so much airtime and the hills in between the turns are amazing. This ride easily has the best dispatch times in the world as well mainly due to the lack of seat belts. The ops were amazing and trains were leaving in about 20 seconds. The ride is very smooth and well maintained, I really liked the middle rows on a car and the front and back. The only thing lame is the re-ride policy, but I guess it has to be that way with a ticketing system. 10/10

Next up was Twister, very fun ride with a unique layout. The helix was surprisingly smooth and exhilarating and I really liked the tunnel at the end. The turns before and after the second lift were a little uncomfortable along with the turn inside the structure after the helix, but the rest of the ride was very nice. I got 4 rides mainly in the front and back. Definitely an 8/10 ride.

We did Flying Turns next, this is a very cool and unique family ride. Not very intense or forceful, but it is a unique experience. It is pretty quick as well but has a decent layout. The station and weighing system was very well done too. They did put a train way later on so there was only one later so we waited a while for a second ride. 7.5/10

We went to Impulse next, awesome coaster and is a great addition. I thought the back row was a little smoother than the front and the last inversion was so much fun, the hang time was really good. I really like vertical lift coasters too, this was my second one after TBolt at Luna Park. The trains were comfy and not very restrictive. 9/10

We did the kiddie coaster and Black Diamond once, the kiddie coaster was very smooth and Black Diamond wasn't too impressive, but it is cool that they were able to save and relocate the ride.

I do wish we had a little more time there and there were a few other rides I wish we went on. We went on the Pioneer Train, Skyway, Flyers, Stratosfear, and the Cosmotron. I am a huge fan of indoor rides that play music and have cool lights so I really enjoyed Cosmotron, really wish more parks had something like that. Stratosfear was fun and surprised me because it immediately dropped at the top. The train and Skyway were fun and were scenic. The flyers were one of my favorite rides there, easily the best one I have been on and probably the best in the world. We got some serious height and speed. I still don't know exactly how to snap the cars, but I am pretty sure I did it a couple times. One of the best rides there.

Overall we had an excellent time and I hope to get back there again soon. The place definitely could use some upgrades here and there and some improvements, but the rides were all in really good shape and were very fun.

This coaster has an awesome design.
