I wish Hurricane Harbor would get a racing head-first mat racer slide like Lake Compounce.

    Which kind is the best?

    1. the one like Lake Compounce got this year where the slides initially twist around each other

    2. the one like the Six Flags in Chicago has where there is an enclosed turn around section at the beginning

    3. or the one that is just 3 or 4 hills down with no enclosed section at the top

Anyone been on all 3 styles?

I've never been on them, but they look fun! I think it will be a great addition to our park, I wouldn't be surprised if we got them next year, or maybe in 2014! I think the ones at LC look the best ;)

I have only personally been on the straight slide with a double dive. Water Country has one. I would say no to the Kracken slides like LC simply because it would look like your copying LC.

The Octopus racer(proslide)/Whizzard(WWW) would be unique to them. both models rang form 45(buffer zone height) to 65. I think with a slide tower getting 50-55 ft would not be a problem.

Can you try and post a pic of the 2 slides you're talking about? :D

going by the twisted racer at TGE, for only 4 lanes, the line goes pretty quick. i say 10-15 minute wait max. they are also very fun

If we were to get a racing slide, which we most likely will whenever we get a water park expansion, it will be the Octopus model from ProSlide.

They do move quickly, the slide gets around 120pph per run. so I 4 slide would get up to 480pph while an 8 slide would pull 960pph.

Why would SFNE get a racing slide if Lake Compounce already has one. SFNE could get a different slide that not many people have. I really like The King Cobra by Polin and the aqualoop. ProSlides have some slides that are really cool too. The HydroMagnetic Mammoth and the TornadoWave. I have never seen any of those around here so those could be some suggestions.

We don't need a King Cobra. That is probably the worst waterslide investment ever. The capacity will be awful because there is a waterslide part, and a pipeline part. I assume the ride will take about 40 seconds for someone to start going down the slide and get out for another to go down. That is 4 people (2 per slide) every 30 seconds. That is about 360 pph.

The capacity on most of those slides is very low and they need something with capacity. So most of those would not be good. as for the HydroMagnetic Mammoth that 9+ million for one slide. not happening. and Why get the Tornado wave they have a tornado which is the bigger attraction.

Yes a Mat Racer would in it's core be the same. which is why I and other have talked about the Octopus slide. it's stilla racer but it's a different style.

and out of your list every slide has a slide like ti in New England.

I suggested a Mammoth Bowl on The Grove a few weeks back. Those are fun!

They are. but I wouldn't add a bowl slide the same year that Quassy adds one.

When I say the Aqualoop, I mean the one that goes up like at Noah's Ark in Wisconsen Dells, Wisconsen. I dont think that has low capacity.

The loop slide gets at max 180pph, the vertical would be about the same. So the tower gets 360pph.
