Retheme Ideas

I'm just going to throw this into the mix because it may seem far fetched to some. Why doesn't Six Flags New England really capitalize on 2 major themes throughout the park now that most of the other themes are outdated? With the addition of a DC themed Kiddie Land at SFOG I can see SFNE following suit in transforming kidzopolis area once again to a Teen Titans theme, this makes more sense than movietown for this idea because it is right between Gotham City and the DC area. Don't get me wrong, I do like the themeing of Kidzopolis, but that's why I'd prefer to see Movietown transformed into that theme. With this conversion of half the park into a completly DC themed area, I believe that Kontiki should either be moved or removed so that area could go towards Waterpark expansion. Joker should be moved up to either Spiders or Chaos's old spot unless they'd be able to move it back into the building. In Jokers spot should be an Air Race XL themed to the Justice League as a whole. Maybe move GCG to the plaza where Blitz curently stands and keep it within the same theme. In GCG old spot I'd like to see a FreeSpin themed to the Green Lantern and an Aquatwist themed to Aquaman. From here I'd like to see Catwoman moved up to the new Teen Titans area and maybe rethemed. In Catwomans spot, I'd like to see a Hall of Justice ride (if it would fit). I'd like to see Mind Eraser themed towards either a Batman Villan like Two Face, the Riddler, or else Wonder Woman. I'd also like to see a large facade built from buzzsaw (which should be moved to the new kidzopolis and repainted with a color scheme) all the way to spiders old location, this could just be painted to look like the city setting that is Gotham. I'd like to see the Tea Cups rethemed to Harley Quinn, which would include enclosing the walls around and keeping with the lights that are used during fright fest. Batman should be repainted with blue instead of purple, given new cars that have the ability to be ran backwards for fright fest with a new style restraint, similar to those that Zamperla used on Thunderbolt at Luna Park (also like those on Hollywood Rip Ride and Rocket at Universal). Lastly I'd like to see Splash water falls rethemed to the Penguin River Plunge with additional sprinklers and maybe an enclosure of some sort throughout the slide. This is essentially it for this whole half of the park, now onto the other half.
I believe that this half of the park should be themed entirely to Weather and Storm related things. I think the Wild West should be rethemed to a Snow Mountain area, almost like the alps. Traffic Jam would be moved to the Teen Titans area and could be themed to Cyborg leaving room for a set of flyers. Tomohawk would be rethemed to Avalanche, and I have yet to think of an idea for Houdini, but that theme would not fit in the area anymore. Goliath could stay in the current theme even though it doesn't really fit to well with weather related themeing. The Bumpercars would be rethemed to what we love in New England soooo much, Snow Covered Roads. From here, move the Balloon Race to the new Kidzopolis or else in the infield of Pandemonium. Next Remove Flashback (Send it to Magic Mountain ) for the new Gale Force Launch Coaster (Launched El Loco). Retheme Pandemonium towards yet another Tornado themed ride, maybe a return of the name "Twister". Lastly for rethemeing, I'd like to see an overhaul of Blizzard River, with removal of the Penguin Props, and some massive themeing added. This could all conclude with the addition of a Giga named Titan starting out in the picnic grove, which would be transformed into a normal operating portion of the park. I know this is alot, but let me know what you think of these ideas.

Cool ideas but seems like an awful lot of moving / rethemeing of rides. Not sure that all of those costs would be worth it. Maybe a plan over several years would work.

Realistically if this was actually to happen at our park, I wouldn't expect this plan to complete until 2025, which would be the year we get the giga! I also didn't include Waterpark additions to the plan, which I believe deserves a lot more attention!

To be honest when I saw the title I thought this was going to be a Topic about themeing and the parks need for upgrades and areas that really have none. I was a bit surprised to see a Long paragraph that read far more like an If I ran the park post. We do have that topic.

Anyways you have a few good ideas but I really can't agree with the idea that Kidzopolis is a theme. I like the idea of having a teen titans area and I agree that The Kidzopolis location is a good location. I woudl stress against removing the western area which is the best themed area simply for the concept of changing it. i have also on many If I ran the Park posts done the same with north end and play with the weather idea. With Cyclone and Blizzard right there your already in the theme with 2/5th of the attractons
