Not a new style but it's a possibility to have El Toro size ones that it originally was supposed to have. They are probably not going to re-do the restraint system though.

I noticed that. I was merging them into a new thread for Fireball and Superman but the system must've completely messed that up. I don't even see that thread anymore. Weird.

I know everyone wants all the info on the transformation right away but they are not giving it to us. If they did they would just announce all their plans for the next five years. And things literally change all of the time, so I feel like they are holding out a lot of information so if something does happen and plans change again we don't riot lol.

But I think everyone needs to take a minute and be rational about this...
Would you rather have them keep the same trains exactly how they are and painting them red and blue... or different restraints that could potentially make it worse? The unknown is scary and it's not like new trains have worked out well for SFNE in the past. They have already committed to commenting that there would be no audio through the headsets. I am very confident that in the very least they will be removed and it will just be the seats. If they can't get them off, they will order new seats - they should anyways because they look gross.

Of course El Toro restraints would be a dream come true because we know we'll never get t-bars back. But for the larger guests - El Toro restraints would mean they won't be able to ride. Great, so now there will be a large number of guests who can ride Bizarro now, that won't be able to in May. That's awful.

I could go on but I think you get my point, it's not like SFI just woke up a few days ago and decided "lets get Superman back" and then not have a plan for it... Less is more when it comes to that ride, it doesn't need anything extra to make it great. It just needs to be rehabbed so it can be close to what it used to be. No matter what they do to it they can never get back the 6 years they lost when they called it Bizarro. But at least for the remainder of it's years it will be known as SUPERMAN, and that's good enough for me. Red & Blue forever!

Exactly! Plus, Twister always looked a little "lonely" over in it's Rockville spot. I can't help but think it's going to be the same for Fireball. A Tilt-A-Whirl would be a fun addition to any area, and it would be perfect in a '50's themed area like Rockville.

I applaud your entire post, but your very first sentence was especially important to me. As someone who has been very critical of how SFNE has allowed this awful situation to develop with it's lack of flat rides, I find that S:ROS has been the one saving grace of the park. It's the ONE RIDE that keeps me buying a season pass for a park that has a lot of potential, yet never seems to fulfill it's possibilities. For me, and I think probably many others as well, Superman must be kept in optimum condition. Otherwise there becomes less reason to even bother with Six Flags New England.

A tilt-a-whirl for larson is not that expensive. shipped and installed for under 500K. A small price to get an extra flat and spiff up the area.

I know this is sort of irrelevant, but if the park was going to get a Tilt-A-Whirl I would want an older refurbished Sellner model because the new Larson ones suck. The cars are a lot bulkier and designed differently and the spinning is very, meh. The one I ran from the 80's had unbelievable spinning.

I don't think there's really space for a tilt a whirl by Twisters spot unless they removed some buildings.

Anyways I think if the park was to get a tilt a whirl they would get a used one. It would probably stay for a few years anyway. You can get a electric 7 tilt a whirl for about 80K in good condition, but it would be a trailer mount.

I haven't been on a newer Larson. but are you maybe referring to the R5 cars the short, non domed cars used on rides like Turkey whirl at Holiday world.

as for bing bulkier they had to do something to justify nearly tripling the price tag after buying Selner.

Is it really the same? Maybe that's why I felt like it was very familiar. Still like it a lot.

Has anyone noticed the park has an old riverside catapiller kiddie ride in the employee lot they moved over there from the storage building? I saw it while riding batman on Saturday. If anyone is going to the park today can you get a pic, it was dusk when i saw it so i couldn't get a good shot of it. I wonder what they are doing with it?

Didn't they have that ride in the Tiny Timber Town also?
