The problem I have with DC is it's basically a 50's themed area with brighter colors. I think that's why Johnny Rockets fits in so well.

did the park close that snack stand to the right as the bottom of the stairs. In the past they had fountain drink. fried dough/oreos and other simple snacks.

It might still be there. I actually don't know. I remember there being like a popcorn (or pretzel?) stand that sold bottled sodas. But even still I feel like DC needs work.

That snack stand is open when needed. Weekend's and peak days are when its usually open.

It dose need work. the game booth in the center of the walkway is tacky and personally I miss the fountain that used to be down there. The fountain gave the area a different feel. The other midway games are cheep carnival looking. They really should stick to games that are higher end. and why not do something like a water race or ball race were you can theme the display to match the area. They need to rethink the colors and consider refacing some of the buildings.

There is too much dead space. come of the stairs or the ramp and there is nothing. a fence to the right a dark unappealing snack stand and bushes to the right. same with the other end. If they want to keep joker there they need to rework the pad a bit and offer 2 flats there and not one. and they need to remove the old Joker building they don't need the second gift shop and the rest of the building is wasted space.

Glad to hear of the update. maybe you can take 2 seconds and explain why you dislike my DC area suggestions. What exactly do you dislike and what woudl you suggest instead. I understand this is a bit of a wish list on a 2016 thread but when is a better time to rehab the area then around the rehab of it's key attraction.

Sorry if it came off that way but I didn't say I didn't like your ideas. I said it would have to be over time. Everything costs money so you can't expect the park to just move a bunch of rides around even if it would make the themeing better. A longer term plan could make something like that happen.

Came across? You rated my post about ideas for the DC area as dislike? you and @dschu did. I said nothing about time frame and put down no ones ideas. If you dislike the ideas that's fine but What about those ideas do you dislike. If you as well as dschu simply hit the dislike button and don't give your opinion it dose nothing to advance the conversation. If either of you truly dislike something I suggested give your own. If you feel it's too off topic, which for this site its really not, say that we can consider branch it off into a new topic.

Your first post wasn't off topic, but I think you forgot that for a good chunk of the summer, The old joker building is the Hall Of Justice. And jokers pad couldn't fit 2 rides. I disliked your second post because asking somebody why they disliked your post is off topic. We can all have opinions and don't have to explain for ourselves.

If I hit dislike it was a total fat finger. I haven't disliked one post on the forum intentionally. Again my apologies but it's not like we shot someone. Ok you had ideas. If someone didn't agree so what. Nothing to get upset about. Anyways I don't dislike your idea.

Didn't AJ or someone say not to ask why someone disliked something you posted before

Actually I simply didn't know. I can"t remember the last time I read anyone talking about the HoJ being open. But there are 2 ways to look at this. The building could get removed for a Flat that can be used all year instead of a meet and greet that is used off and on during the summer. If they do insist on operating it they should us it more and reface the building to fit in more with the DC area.

Joker uses less then half of Nightwings pad so it could fit 2 rides if the second ride was long and thin. But I should have been more clear because I woudl prefer a larger ride which woudl require extending the pad a bit. Now I know that means removing the Super man shield form the queue which is in theme again but the element that is only seen form 8 seats of scream isn't all that needed.

As for disliking and not posting it's counterproductive in a forum. if a person truly has a strong enough reaction to hit a button especially dislike they should share that. In this case HoJ is apparently open and I'm assuming you like the attraction. that information was helpful and sparks a conversation. But if you had never responded I would have still being under the understanding that the attraction was dark.
I know this is sometimes the case which is why I asked. dschu had his reasons and now that I know I had an opportunity to converse and offer alternatives. I respect his opinion especially now that I know what it is. I sometimes forget the number of people that are now using this site on a phone or tablet. this really is the most model friendly site that I know of. I hope that if you can work it out you remove the mistaken dislike.

    Now back to 2016

We wouldn't have to get back to 2016 if you didn't get off topic in the first place but...
If traffic jam actually is rented for the season and does well, I can see it being bought and rethemed for the next season.

Please stop it with the sarcastic-ness and condescension in your posts. It's been getting worse and worse and it's totally uncalled for, especially for the newer members. I have gotten PM's from people who lurk the site saying they feel uncomfortable to post, you're part of the reason why.

I would hope that we see some operation of the traffic jam in 2016, just not in Crack axle, I know it would be temporary but it so far out of theme its not funny. but it's good to see them getting a bit more adventurous with ride selection.
