Great Adventure announced their HITP event on 4/1, and SFA and SFSTL announced in mid to late march of last year so the timeline of this would be about right.

    ^Thanks for posting those timelines.
How does everyone like the park announcing things at different times, or would you rather have them announcing everything at once?

I'm not sure. I like having everything posted all at once just but then again when they announce things at separate days it keeps me excited about the announcement longer...

Different times keeps it interesting and the excitement up. As much as I am surprised I think it might be HITP!

Hitp will not happen given the temps will be too cold

They said that about Lake Compounce, Kings Island, Six Flags St. Louis, Kings Island, Worlds of Fun and Great Adventure too... if Lake Compounce does an event, the idea of a park about 25 miles north (as the crow flies) isn't all that crazy. Sure, they don't run coasters but anyone who's been paying any attention to Great Adventure knows that this chain doesn't care about running coasters in sub freezing conditions.

I think it'll be something to do with Joker's Wildcard. It doesn't make sense to have 2 Jokers. They would have to give it a DC theme too because it's in that area

They literally had the Football Field and The Blitz in that area, so it's not 100% going to be a D.C. Theme.

Yes but that was a few years back. It seems like they're paying more attention to theming now than they were back then.

Just out of curiosity i was discussing hitp with someone yesterday and some points were brought up.
What section of the park would be open for hitp? The park doesn't even decorate dc for frightfest so i see that section closed as well as the southend.
Sfne barely has enough time to get all their projects done when the park closes November. So adding hitp would mean less new stuff for the following season.
What rides do you think they would open for hitp?

Posted a few pages back (for me) but my prediction is one of these 2 things, taking in to account that the park has to be open to at least Rockville Theater as it's really their only indoor show venue.

    Slightly more conservative...

Great Adventure does it... they start putting up the lights during fright fest but just don't have them on.

Houdini wouldn't be opened for HITP because of the mansion. We have all argued our points and it's becoming a little bit of beating a dead horse.

But my money is on the announcement being HITP even though I'm still skeptical about them pulling it off.

The upcoming announcement on the 29th is going to be bigger than this week's. Highly doubt it's a ride removal. Can't wait to hear what it officially is! I'm still thinking HITP.
