I'm fairly confident in saying it's Holiday in the Park.

^^ Where did you hear the announcement is bigger than the announcement yesterday? Holiday in the Park makes sense and the timing is pretty much the same as the other parks that announced it. The only other thing I could really see it being is a new ride/removal but I don't think that is going to happen this year. Could be a re-theme too but I don't think they would announce that.

An indoor launching giga themed to Bizarro, with on-board audio, fire, mist and strobe lights. ;)

Don't forget the unnecessarily bulky lap bars that sit on your leg rather than your lap.

Then in 2018, they'll improve it by removing the fire, mist, and strobes, but they'll leave crackling speakers.

You weren't a SFNE Fan while Bizarro had its run. Somehow we made it through that.

Actually that's what made me a fan ;) first visit was 2009. I only know/knew Superman as it's run as Bizarro.

They could stand to put in a swinging pirate ship. They haven't had one since the Sea Dragon was removed!

Join the club - the day after my first visit on 07/07/2009 I stumbled across the original incarnation of this site, and the rest is history, but I digress...

Where would you suggest them putting it? I'd like to see one added in the old Bumper Buggy spot, make that and Kontiki a little themed area.

It's so interesting reading some of these posts being completely lost, learning about your park & realizing how we interact with each other about our parks. Which I guess I never actually realized until right now. :p I have no idea what the areas of your park are, what kontiki, the bumper buggy spot is or where they are located but for you guys you can all pin point it. Just as I can do with Great America. Just an interesting thing to me sorry to bore you with it haha! :D

You would be surprised at how quickly Fright Fest comes down. It would take weeks to make everything look perfect. Then days after everything is gone.

Again, Great Adventure has a more elaborate Fright Fest with much more space. Last year there was a few weekends in between FF and HITP. Literally the week right after FF ended everything was gone. You wouldn't even know that event was a thing. So I know SFNE has the potential to make it work. (Even Houdini could be transformed back, or just keep that trail open and theme to the holidays).

My guess is the announcement will have something to do with what's already on the park. (Goodbye Flashback?) I highly doubt at this point we will see any more notable additions with the exception of HITP. Or who knows, they could surprise with a HH slide or attraction this summer. You just never know what to expect when it comes to this park.
