The problem is they knew they were going to do this but still sold SP in the fall with no mechanism to apply that money to the membership. Not a very nice way to treat your most loyal patrons.

I will say I was emailed by the park the day after Opening Day asking for my opinion on the membership because I have Damond elite, they wanted to know what I used, what I like and don't like. I wrote out what I used, what I loved, What I hated and what I will never use. Two things I did point out.

    1. VIP TOURS - I said for the money, even with a discount isn't worth it because of the membership benefits, there really isn't any perks. THE VIP TOUR is good for someone with no season passes.

    2. PERKS for little kids - The memberships are basically geared towards anybody 54 inches or taller. I suggested they create an under 54 inch or children basically stuck in Kiddie Land Membership. I gave them a rundown of perks they could use and said, test them out during Kidsfest to see if it works.

I am not a fan of the Bugs Bunny bucks, the park knows that I even mentioned it to them in the email. I get that we all know they knew it was brewing during the Flash Sale but wasn't ready to go! So technically at the Flash Sale they did offer the best price and pass at the time, I also mentioned to the park Six Flags as a Company should have waited until 2019 because of this underlying issue.

Let's all be honest here for a moment. We all hate this particular moment. Its the biggest gripe with everybody who bought a gold pass during the Flash Sale. The Park Knows this and they didn't get to jsut hold off until 2019! Headquarters said here ya go and boom it's in their lap and they have to do it, even if they don't want to!

I get that people are pissed, but times are changing, its ok to wait until next year if you feel your getting screwed. I dove in for two reasons.

    1. I wanted the cool benefits, end of story
    2. I also wanted to pick it apart, help the park make it better, do coverage of it for SFNEOnline and see if it's really a great deal or not!

There are a couple of things people can do!

    1. Be mad and wait until next year and maybe get it or not
    2. Dive in now or next year or whenever you want.

Six Flags is a business, it's not a charity and in our Enthusiast world, we are peons to them, why? Enthusiasts/Fans whine, cry, feel entitled and we are only a tiny, tiny, tiny fraction of their customer base. While they throw us a bone time to time and give us something we really want across amusement parks.

I just feel in this day and age, pick your battles, enjoy life and have fun! I don't get mad like I used to anymore over this stuff! All I do is email the park and say hey this doesn't work, try this and maybe they will try it or ignore it, but I know personally that a small portion of things I have suggested have been implemented in the park!

I would email the park and give them suggestions, you will see you will see things over time change. If enough people say something and then they see a lot of people do not like it, they will change it! The park is most likely going to change perks around as more and more people use them and the feedback they give! SO hopefully they keep progressing the Membership and adding cool benefits and taking away the dumb ones!

True, but we don;t know how the GP are taking it. Maybe they feel as jept as many here do. Maybe they don't care at all because they don't know about the memberships or will simply not bother with them till their season pass is expired.

Yes SFI is a business. but so is every park. Hell LC, Water Country and Storyland are all corporate owned and by the same company. The rest of the New England parks are not corporately owned businesses. the are privately owned by one or a few families and in turn are in a tougher spot then SFI. they can't milk money of a small water park or take profits from one park and shift it to another to cover big additions. Yes you see Multi level passes in palace parks and dinning passes. but overall you get a simple pas structure and pay as you go food. but some home all these other parks seem to be able to give you good food. a good time and more with out making you pay through the nose.

^^Charity? What? They are a for profit business that just treated their best (early paying) customers horribly. They are getting called out on it. It has nothing to do with being an enthusiast or being entitled. It does not matter if it was Corporate or the local park. Six Flags made a decision that was good for them and bad for their customers. It is their company and they can do almost anything they want but if it means they suck then they suck and I won't apologize for telling them that, which I did in an email to Jim Reid Anderson. I made a suggestion - STOP BEING GREEDY!! It was all about money and not wanting to miss out on the early SP sales while they got the membership thing ready. And all they had to do was have a mechanism for an upgrade on using funds paid for SP and not go the Bugs Bunny Bucks route. That would have quelled all the ill will.

The term entitled pisses me off. All I have ever wanted for my $ is a well run park, a clean park, rides open on time, and choice of seats. That is not being entitled. That is demanded they provide what I paid for and what they advertised. I don't single out SF as I do that with all business that I frequent.

The problem I have with sf is they give away the gate and nickel and dime you for everything!

I know smaller parks can’t and some won’t. The bigger parks will ! I get it, either share holders making sure they make money do we get screwed.

For the most part most of SF Park are run pretty well. They all have their flaws , he’ll even cedar fair does this.

I do miss the old days of cheaper and better food !

Goliath is not showing up on the app when you search for it, everything else including water rides, Harley Quinn, and Fright Fest attractions still show up. Kinda weird.

edit: looks like it’s showing up now.

Anyone have a picture of the sign? I’m not going to be back in the park until next week.
