I can get that but this is an indoor carnival ride. no good reason for it to be along overhaul and installation.

Yea but we all know SF’s normally opens new attractions later. It’s not really based on installation but instead marketing.

So they are taking everything out and adding a pool?

I don't use the water park but isn't Bonzi Beach the Mr six area?

    1. Site Plan – New Water Park Attraction – Six Flags New England John Furman with VHB, David Jenks and Jeff Bissette of Six Flags New England were in attendance to present a site plan for a new water attraction currently called the Buccaneer Beach expansion. The site is currently occupied by Bonzai Beach, which will be demolished except for the Coke a Cola stand. Buccaneer Beach includes a pool, a changing room building, pool filter building, landscaped areas, concrete patio areas and cabanas. The creation of Buccaneer Beach will add 59,000 sq. foot increase in impervious area. Stormwater runoff will be collected within new catch basins and conveyed to the existing piped system that leads to the river. Ms. Baldwin asked how they have addressed the concerns raised by the Health Department. Mr. Furman said Health Director Auer will be working directly with the park designers in regards to the plumbing and health code. The shower facility concerns have been addressed, and Ms. Auer recommended approval in a memo dated October 19, 2018. There will be eight outdoor rinse stations provided. Mr. Paleologopoulos asked if any screening would be provided; Mr. Jenks said there is an eightfoot high ornamental fence next to the Tennessee Gas easement, and privacy screening will be installed. The Engineering Department and Fire Department have also provided memos recommending approval.

Motion made by Ms. Baldwin and seconded by Mr. Tedeschi to approve the site plan for Six Flags New England at 1623 Main Street conditional upon any professional staff comments. VOTE 5-0

Do we have an opening day for Cyborg yet? Since it's an indoor ride I would guess they've had time to work on it over the off season so maybe opening day would actually be a possibility this year.

Six Flags doesn’t open rides on opening day. It has nothing to do with construction, it’s a marketing tool to get guests to come back.

Wow, Six Flags keeps on surprising us with added amenities, name changes and unexpected upgrades. Can't wait, 68 days until opening day.

The Six Flags app now has something called "mobile ordering" that looks like a service that lets you order in advance and pick up food at restaurants. I'm not sure if it's only for dining plan members, but even if so I'm very interested to see how it's implemented.

These is getting more popular with fast food locations. You normally have to have a credit card on the app. So I would prefer the meal plan exclusive to avoid that. I do find though that at Dunkins if you are getting food at any rush hour you still wait in line.

I never liked the idea of mobile ordering, particularly in a place as hectic and crowded as a theme park. But I tried it in Disney on my past trip and it was definitely beneficial and quite well organized. If Six flags used the same system as them, I think it would make getting food go a lot smoother (especially at busy locations like JB's). On many of my trips to SFNE I've skipped out on eating because the line to order is nightmarish, so it will make me more apt to spend money in the parks and order food.

I have found online ordering of almost anything is a better way to go. Occasionally things get messed up but generally It saves time. Often we get somewhere and there is a line out the door and our order is done and waiting. We did it last weekend at Blaze Pizza. If we had just showed up we would have been at least 20 min waiting to order and then have to wait some time for them to make it. Instead we ordered online, paid on line and when we got there our pizzas were just going into the pickup rack with our names on the boxes. We walked past tons of people, grabbed the boxes and sat down to eat. If SFNE could do the same they would sell much more. The implementation and execution is the key. With SF I am always dubious but maybe they can prove me wrong.

I am sure with the wording there will be hiccups, but if this can cut down wait times, this will be amazing!
