my guess is, assuming they don't remove anything, is behind the paul bunyan bucket brigade..pretty lame addition even though the water park does need more body slides

The important part of the press release (http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20160901005337/en/Bonzai-Pipelines-Coming-Great-Escape ):

"Perched 30 feet in the air, guests will race through nearly 300 feet of banking twists and turns uniquely designed to provide an adrenaline-charged body slide experience. Bonzai Pipelines will feature two brightly colored twisting slides, becoming the 13th attraction in Splashwater Kingdom. The slides will complement the popular Alpine Freefalls in lower Splashwater Kingdom, offering thrill seekers the ultimate water park adventure."

While not overly exciting this s a solid addition. It said located in the upper part of the water park which might by why this is a tower with 2 not 3 or 4 slides.

I don't do body slides so these are worthless to me. Anyways, we want to expand our coaster horizons so we don't plan on getting passes next year through GE.

This is a good addition for them. They were missing one more good tower in splashwater kingdom. I just hope 2018 is a bigger year.

GE's waterpark actually has a pretty solid lineup. After Bonzai, SWK will have 5 tube slides, 3 body slides (including a dropbox), a mat racer, big wave pool, big play structure with bucket dump, a big lazy river, a nice children's play area, a Tornado, and a Bowl slide. Most certainly one of the most rounded and better waterparks in NY.

What's wrong with body slides. There are plenty of good ones out there.
I agree its a very well rounded park. but one of the best in NY? I guess it's possible but The only other I know of are bigger higher rated parks. but it goes to show that they don't need a tone of attraction to be a solid water park jut need smart additions. Whales Tale in Lincoln NH is another good example.

So TGE's Bonzai Pipelines won't be drop capsules?

I'm guessing no- and interestingly enough, the drop capsule on Alpine Freefalls doesn't seem to have a big draw which is a bit surprising.

There's just not a lot of well known/established water parks in NY compared to other places- a lot of them are either old or don't have a ton of attractions. Darien Lake has some good attractions. Enchanted Forest is pretty good. Water Slide World up the road from GE is really dated. Zoom Flume sucks. Not saying GE is the best of the best, but they have a solid lineup.

Nah Splish Splash in Long Island is easily the best water park in the east coast.

So its going to the lower section, where do you think they;ll put it?
