Hmmmmm, I'm going to guess they'll take down some trees behind or along side Paul Bunyan's and put it along side Comet, almost opposite to Alpine Freefalls. Just a guess though. They definitely can't go behind Freefalls with all the buildings.

Isn't there a big ridge/hill behind the splashplay area before comet? Maybe they can be terrain slides.

Splish Plash is what came to mind first for me in NY water parks.

The slide is going into the upper section not the lower section.

"The slides will complement the popular Alpine Freefalls in lower Splashwater Kingdom, offering thrill seekers the ultimate water park adventure."

Oh, good catch! I missed that. In that case, I'd guess they'll go on that plot of open land next to Tornado on the inside the lazy river which is pretty big. There's room on the outskirts of the Lazy River too but they'd have to build a bridge or something to make it accessible.

I'm sure many missed it. It wasn't i the Announcement but the press release under the investor news section of the park.

I know this isn't as exciting as a coaster or a big flat, but TGE was mostly ignored for years so for me it's great to see them getting new things. Even if they are smaller additions.

Great Escape will present Bonzai Pipelines to the board on January 17th. The slides will go in the Alpine Freefalls complex area.

Here's the link to the AGENDA

The agenda packet, when it is uploaded, should have blueprints of the addition so I will post them when they're available.

LOL this addition is cheaper than I thought. They don't even have to put up a new slide tower. Pathetic.

At least your getting a slide. Canobie canceled their big plans so who knows what the hell's up there. So what if it's attached to an existing tower. Whales Tale in NH did the same things a few years back the slide was a big hit.

How does something called Bonzai Pipelines fit in with Alpine Freefalls in terms of theming?

Now see this is something to complain about. The area has a theme and the name doesn't fit. makes no sense to complain about actually getting something.
