They do look fun. My inverted wish is for a Zamperla hawk

Couldn’t agree more, they’re also one of the better flat rides that can be themed, I can totally picture this in the “Old Canobie Village” section of the park.

Nice photo. The old Canobie Village is where i was thinking also. The ride has a small enough foot print that it should fit between the Ferris wheel and the photo building. I'd also put the queue on the back midway across from the Ladder climb game and lockets to draw more people on to that midway. There should be enough room for a good size queue.

I’ll be there tonight with @dschu as a guest and I’ll be working there on Sunday.
Heads up to anyone looking to go this weekend, the park is closed tomorrow for weather.

I went last weekend it was light crowds during the day but got insane after 5. all the rides had a full queue overflowing to a line close to the length of the queue line. all the haunt lines were full and there were lines 20-30 deep for every food stand.

I normally hit closing day but think I will if weather permits try to hit another local haunt over another trip to Canobie.

Bowcraft put up all their rides for sale this week so maybe it isn't too late for that Crossbow Coaster.

Where did you see that? I know Rides for you has it reduced at just under a million. The park could likely get in for a 1.25 total investment. Maybe 1.5 best location would be worked into the village and would need a slight re-theme.

Hmm, interesting. I would still love to see Canobie add a Vekoma Junior Coaster, similar to Barnstormer or Woody Woodpecker, with a minor theming package for to fit inside Canobie Village. I really don’t want to see Canobie go down the “used” path again for a major attraction. At the moment, I rather go with @mrceagle idea and put in a NEW Zamperla Hawk.
Again this is all wishful thinking, and after Canobie’s waterpark expansion, do we even know if anything is planned in 2019 or 2020?

I wouldn't be too worried about the Crossbow coaster. for starters its not that old. The park was slow so it didn't get heavy use and Zierer is very much in business right now so getting parts and services would be very easy. Though the roller skater I think is a bit more compact with a smaller footprint and I think slightly longer .

But with cross bow being 500K and a new Roller skater being round 2.5 million even with any retheming or a new train it would leave enough to almost buy the hawk with it.

That does sound like a nice pickup if Canobie acts on it, but with the park just adding a big water park addition, can you really see them investing on the coaster and a flat?
You definitely have more insight on the park than I do, but judging from their past I don’t see it. The water park addition is Canobie’s biggest addition since Untamed... and the park waited a long time to add anything substantial.

No simply that the difference in Price from buying Crossbow compared to a new roller skater could cover the cost of the Hawk. I wasn't trying to imply they would do both in one year.

Given the price Some one will get it and It's a much more marketable coaster even after relocation costs then a similarly priced coaster.

I wish Canobie would add some more stuff! I’m hoping the water park gets people out of the park so the ride lines aren’t bad lmfao

All parks need more stuff. I think Canobie's bigger issue is the capacity of many of their rides. Their top ride is cannonball and it operates one train. Most of their rides get 800pph or lower with the exception of the new ice jets and Caterpillar. While ice jets and catterpillerare rated at 1,300pph. their other top rides Untames, pirata, BTP, Davinci, Zero gravity, and frisbee are all 800. The rest are moslty under that.

MoLS was rated for 1,200 when rehabbed but there operate a few cars down now and the flume can get 1,600 if all the boats are on but that seems to never happen.
