Yeah not sure why they go with low capcity rides, maybe cost or maybe what the want in the aprk verse the needs of their park! Id love to sit down and hear their thinking of when they decide to add an attraction!

A number of rides are no more then 800pph. but They tend to lean towards carnival portable rides that are often lower in capacity. They get the ride to advertise but a portable rides is not taxed against the property.

I do know the new addition offer a lot of capacity. somewhere in the range of 8,000 guests

What I do know is the park prefers to pay up front for new additions. so they add smaller attraction and use the leftover money to get something bigger down the line. I think The fact they lean towards family ride also doesn't help since most high capacity rides are more towards the thrill ride end and coasters.

I'm just gonna say it... I know it's 90' tall but I would LOVE to see Canobie buy the Big Coaster from Scandia that just closed... I heard it has some monstrous airtime and would be a great fit for the park.

I take it your talking about the Scandia in Canada. and this coaster ( https://rcdb.com/399.htm )

Seems to do very little despite its 88ft height. given the fact the sign on Star Blaster is 85 ft getting permission for 3 more feat might be doable. But this personally dosn't look all that fun compared to a similar family coaster like The one just added at palace.

I know it’s a long shot, but Canobie just screams for an RMC, especially a compact one

That's fine as long as its a custom or a Trex/Raptor. but to remove the parks only wood and the parks top attraction and convert it would be a slap in the face to the parks history.

Oh no I 100% agree, I don’t want Yankee Cannonball to get touched at all. I’m just saying if they ever wanted to add another coaster, or maybe when Corkscrew’s days are numbered, a nice, brand new, unique RMC would be awesome

OK, Glad to hear. I suspect that we would be more likely to see something from GCI or GG over RMC though do to price.

The Scandia parks are not in Canada. The one that closed is in Onterio, California. The other is in Sacramento.

Thanks. I saw the city and mind went right to Canada. But that should be the coaster in mention.

I know it seems very small and not impressive, but I still stand by the fact that the airtime on this ride is insane. They could even paint it to reminisce the old galaxy coaster since they look so similar.

    Maybe it's just me... lol

I'd have to find some reviews of it to know more about it. But If they are going to fight to add a coaster they should be doing it to add a more impressive coaster.

The park will be adding the Double Decker carousel for 2019 and it will be ready for opening.

I too can confirm the Scandia Screamer had some serious airtime. The airtime is very violent and I honestly preferred the ride to several of the B&M hypers.

My pipe dream for a long time has been a Mack spinner. It can have a lower height requirement for families, occupy a small footprint, and can deliver way more thrills than you'd expect. I love Turbulence and Sierra Sidewinder.

I wouldn't mind a mack spinning and thing it would draw a bigger crowed then the Scandia coaster. I think a family inverted would also be a bigger draw

Yes, love the idea of a Mack spinning coaster and a family invert, something similar to what Dollywood is getting. I know this is all speculation but if the Corkscrew Coaster isn’t removed... is there any other land available for a coaster?
