World's of fun maybe getting two new attractions next year...
The barely used Windseeker from Knott's (whoa)
and a new water slide. Maybe a racer.

Relocating a Windseeker? That's really weird if it is happening...

I'd rather see them get a new coaster and a thrill flat, maybe something like Max air.

Yeah, that'd be great. World's of Fun already has a standout coaster though.. Prowler.

    Re: World's of Fun discussion

I have seen the rumor about the windseeker posted on a few sites. the big reason for it woudl be that the city did not approve the Emergency evack carriage modification the others got. As for a water slide, I don't see it. They just added the water ad dry park together and there is no reason to expand. The Windseeker would be a powerful addition in itself. If they get a second addition they may get the Invertigo from KI but if WoF gets the tower, Michigan's Adventure will likely get the invertigo

Might be a better move to make this a Cedar Fair 2014 thread since it will have more longevity then a WoF conversation.

I was looking at World of Fun and Michigan's Adventure and they both have inverted coasters. So there really isn't a point for them to get Invertigo. Valleyfair has an impulse which is quite a bit different them the Inverted boomerange which has inversions. Only other option is selling the ride off.

On a side not the chain has sold off the San Dimas Soak City to CNL Lifestyles Properties. money will be funneled back into the chin including planed work for the CP hotels.

Worlds of Fun has a boomerang already - I know SFNE did too, but a boomerang and invertigo are almost too similar - at least Goliath has vertical lifts and is taller...

Invertigo would be great at Valleyfair or King's Dominion (even though SFAmerica had an invertigo years ago...)

King's Island should keep Invertigo - every park should have a forward/backward coaster experience.

Then the majority of parks are doing something wrong? most parks do not have a Shuttle coaster.

I pointed out that Worlds of Fun had an inverted coaster as dose Michigan's Adventure. They are both larger coasters. Adding an inverted boomerang woudl in turn not be helpful, which is what I was trying to point out in less words in my last post.

Why would King's Dominion be a good choice? The park gets huge crowds. bigger then SFNE, Think about how bad the lines are on Boomerang or even Goliath. an hour long even when there are only a few hundred waiting. not an appropriate addition to one of your star parks.

Now Vallyfair is promising. Yes it has in impulse which is an inverted shuttle coaster. but it's an out an back/back and forth movement with only a twist. Invertigo is a reverse direction inverting coaster. Sort of like going form an out and back coaster to a figure 8.

but no reason to rule out a sale. get 2-3 million for it. that will cover a couple thrilling flats for smaller parks. or a good chunk of a larger addition.

No problem I could have been more clear. I do think Valleyfair woudl benefit form it. I think that smaller market would see it as a much bigger coaster then it is.

Why would Kings Island be removing Invertigo anyway? Its near the parking lot, is it supposed to get replaced? They are adding Banshee so I don't see why they should rip out Invertigo for the heck of it.

Because they are gettign banshee. They also have A family inverted, a Suspended and a flying coaster. A low capacity inverted boomerang is simply not needed. Personally I doubt it will get much use with a real inverted in the park.

Cedar Point to announce their 2014 ride/attraction on Tuesday, August 27th! It's rumored to be an interactive dark ride. They requested a family for a commercial. Hint anybody? :D
