I went to Cedar Point for the first time on a family vacation this past week and I must say, Six Flags could learn a thing or two from this park. The ride operating staff were haulin' the trains through the station like they actually wanted to be there. I think the longest time we waited was for Maverick, and that was about 45 minutes.

Raptor-2x: I got the very back and the middle. I like the middle better because the transitions were more constant like through the zero-g roll and corkscrews. It was very smooth other than the last transition into the brake run.

Millennium Force-2x: What can I say. This ride was awsome. I'm on the border of whether it was better than Bizarro but honestly, I don't think words can describe this ride. It's very smooth, very fast, very forceful around the over-banks and has floater air like a B&M mega. I got the second car from the back and the middle. My personal favorite was the back because the airtime was stronger on the hills and it was prolonged for he same amount of time.

Top Thrill Dragster-1x: This ride was very much like Kingda Ka but I liked it better. You had more freedom to move your arms and didn't bash your head on the restraints. The laterals on the downward spiral were crazy. I liked the launch and the ride was great as a whole. Plus, you get to walk around the ride more than you do with Kingda Ka.

Magnum XL 200-3x: I liked this ride a lot. I don't know why people say the air time hurts or it is too rough, I thought it was fun. It is shaky for a steel coaster but that is what makes it fun. The air time was great. I don't know if it was because of the trim breaks not slowing the train down as much or because of where I sat, but the last time I went on it, there was some pretty strong ejector air on the final hills.

Gemini-2x: This was another fun ride. It is definately more fun when you are racing against someone you know on the other track though. The first drop is a little shaky but for the most part, you get a standard Arrow feel to the ride.

    Mean Streak-1x: Topper track...

Iron Dragon-1x: I thought this was a good family ride. It was a bit shaky and shuffled at some parts but for the most part it was fun.

Maverick-2x: Wow. This ride was phenominal. I don't care what people say about how rough this ride is. I personally didn't think it was that bad. All of the roughness was fluent. Most people when they hear it is rough think of Magnum roughness, this is different. You just get pushed into the restraint, but it is still fun. I got the back car both times and the air time was insane, the indoor launch felt like it was broken up into to separate launches. You start out accelerating, then accelerate more, then get pushed into your restraint when going into the turn. It's amazing.

Disaster Transport-1x: Cool little bobsled ride in the dark. It's short but the line usually isn't over 30 minutes and is a fun way to kill time.

Wicked Twister-2x:SFNE needs one of these rides. Maybe shorter like the ones at other Six Flags parks, but still have the twist in the back. Getting the second to last row was crazy looking down the spiral at the top of the tower. The time period of being weightless is crazy. It is not the scariest ride but it is very fun.

Mantis-1x:I don't this ride hurt your (insert male genital area here) so much but more your legs. All of the blood rushes to your legs and they feel numb when the ride is over. If the ride does apparently hurt your (insert male genital area here) just sit more on your but while riding.

Blue Streak-1x:The air time was very good, like Boulder Dash air time. However, the ride itself was very rough. If the track was smoothed out, I could see how this would be a very popular ride.

Troika-2x:This was a cool family flat ride. It almost felt like you were a biker doing a trick on a steep ramp. Plus, there is a little bit of air time on it.

MaXair-1x:I liked this ride. It gave good air time and gave a good thrill. I don't think you really realize how fast the ride goes until your on it.

Power Tower-1x:I only got on the shot side. Your standard Space Shot ride.

Wind Seeker-1x:I was a little disapointed the first day because I heard they closed the rde due to high winds, ironic. But I got on it the next day and I must say, I have NEVER been afraid to go on a ride before this. I will say that you do feel safer than a Fun Time Star Flyer, but it still scared the crap out of me. It goes so fast up there and you are so high above the ground, it's just insanity. The audio is cool and goes with the ride. I rode it at night and the lights on it looked amazing. I think Cedar Point did a good job with this ride, but if it is going to be closed due to high winds, I suggest going on it if is open, just incase it closes later in the day.

All and all the weather was nice and the rides were great. Pictures coming soon.

Did you ride their classic rides like Cedar Downs, and Calypso or their S&S Swing Skyhawk? The next time you go it will seem even better, because usually you get a better feel for the park on your second trip. The park is so big and has so much to do it can overwhelm people, it definitely deserves its golden ticket for the best park in the world every year.

SEE I TOLD YOU ALL THAT MILLENNIUM FORCE IS AMAZING!

So yea, I agree with most of the points you put across about each ride. And yes, Six Flags could definitely learn a ton from Cedar Fair as a company. They seem to do things a lot differently, but it's much better.

Also, was Matis your first standing coaster or have you ridden Green Lantern at GADV yet? If you haven't ridden Green Lantern yet, don't let it affect your opinion on standing coasters because GL is MUCH smoother.

^Yeah it was my first stand up. I'll have to go down to NJ and try out Green Lantern sometime.

Everytime I see someone sitting in those stand-up coaster seats I cringe, because it looks like it hurts so much.

Even though I'm a girl and don't have you know...those problems with stand ups, I just don't like house Mantis feels. It's rough and too intense on your legs, but GL is smooth, doesn't jerk your body around as much, and your legs don't feel like jello when you get off.

Oh yes AJ, I forgot. I did get on Calypso once. It was very fun. Great laterals.

Also, to anyone who has been on Millennium Force. Did you find the cars had more leg room than Bizarro's? I found them much more roomy than the ones even when it was Superman.

^On millennium force you do have better leg room then bizarro, and honestly I think that and the view from the top of the lift hill are the only things I like about the ride XD lol, and on the comment about mean streak, I don't even think topper track would save that ride! But only one way too find out and I doubt they'll ever do it because of the cost.
