Personally, I'd go to Dorney over Luna or Knoebels. Dorney is (IMO) a very underrated park that has a really solid coaster lineup (that never have lines), great flat rides and an awesome waterpark. It will give you the most quantity and variety out of the 3 choices. Coney has 1 good coaster, a couple of flats and is in a pretty rundown area. And while Phoenix is amazing, I find Knoebels very overrated.

Yes I have. Playland is ok. I wouldn't go for the day, though; it's like 15 minutes from my house, and I go there multiple times per summer. The dragon coaster is fun, the log flume, derby racer, and double shot are great, and the dark rides are pretty good. Everything else is just ok. It's basically like a permanent carnival. I hope Standard Amusements does some work, like taking out the Volare and adding the proposed Chance Hyper GTX.

A hyper gtx would be a perfect addition to Rye. I would start stopping by the park more than once every five years or so. It's crazy how often I drive past that exit and how rarely I get the urge to pop in.

I agree it's a bit Carnival like. But well worth a visit if you haven't been. I did enjoy Valore but agree a new coaster in its place woudl bee a good move.

Hello everyone! I think this might be my first post?! Anyways, I have enjoyed your website for a long time.

The reason I am posting is because I recently went to Coney Island / Luna Park. I purchased a Luna Card and was not able to use all of the credits. I still have $67 on the card. I will not be in NYC until the winter, so it will go to waste in my pocket. If anyone is heading to Luna and would like my card let me know. I do not want to sell it, just want somebody to use it so the $$$ doesn't go to waste.

I am at work and can not upload pictures, but I can send you an email with a screenshot of the balance if you want it. If anyone is interested please let me know!

I knew the city had bought the carousel and was working to restore. I didn't know it had reopened. We rode it in 2004 shortly before the owner decided to auction it off. It looked like it would be broken up, sold piecemeal, and lost forever. The city stepped in and saved it. From the video I notice one difference. In 2004 it was a carousel with "catch the brass ring" too. It was vastly harder to catch than the Grand Carousel at Knoebels (the only other place we have ever done brass rings) because at B&B the outside horses go up and down. This meant you had to judge the speed and the position to grab a ring. We seldom miss the ring at Knoebels but seldom got one at B&B! So that part looks lost but the carousel is saved. So there is something to celebrate!
