Early 2020 Predictions

I know it’s super early, but what do you think is coming in 2020?

It might be easier doing just SF right now, because we know every park will get something, whereas with CF we have to figure out who’s getting rides, then predict what they are.

SFNE- Endeavor
TGE- Thrill Flat (Air Race/Hawk/Endeavor/SkyScreamer)
SFMM- Family Flat Ride Package
SFGAD- Ground Up RMC (maybe T-Rex, but I doubt it)
SFDL- Raptor

They are good theories. i agree and when I make predictions I also rule out coasters to parks that just got them. I'm not sure how reliant SFI will stay with the free spins. Yes they added more this year but are they really going to rely on them in the future with other options introduced.

I know TGE is low on the priority list but I don't thin that will mean it will never see a coaster. it just won't be an expensive one. it's why I chose the coaster I did the other thread.

I'll think about this a bit more before trying to post any guesses.

Yes, Great Escape is far from the flagship park, but every year people think they’re gonna get a crappy family ride and it’s not the case. They get pretty decent flats and water park rides, and the only years I’ve been thoroughly disappointed was 2015 and this year (though with all the work going on around the park it makes up for the lack of a decent ride).

2020 will probably be a flat ride, but it very well could be a coaster. They will get one, it’s just a matter of when and I feel like it’s gonna be a surprise when the day comes. Whatever we get, it’s not gonna be just a Tilt-a-Whirl.

See i can;t feel bad for TGE. Why because I have Water Country. Water Country is owned by the same company that owns LC and Story land. i can take your family rides and raise you 1 slide in the last 10 years. Story Land is adding n aquarium but its an up-charge attraction and They have removed 2 rides in the list 4. They are retheming one attraction this year so they are still 2 rides down. LC has fared better but Even Compounce has not see a lot in the last 10 years.

So while some see TGE as abandoned by the chain its still faring far better then parks owned by other chains.

That’s the point I’m really trying to raise. People always make predictions videos and say we’re gonna get a family ride or some kiddie ride and we’re not. If we weren’t a Six Flags park, people who love TGE.

Very true some especially outsiders not familiar with the parks history and style only see it as a SFI park that seems to be not a Six Flags park. I mean they got an Larson loop along with many of the major parks.

Yeah most people haven’t gone so they hear “family park” and assume our star attraction is a Zamperla Gravity coaster. We aren’t super popular but we are a nice park that, in my opinion, is treated way better than say Michigan’s Adventure.

Six Flags Great America = Total Mayhem (Zamperla DiskO)
Six Flags Great Adventure = Swashbuckler relocated to Plaza Del Carnival as Huracán, Aqua Twist added to Lakefront, general improvements/prep for 2021 coaster
Six Flags Mexico = Dark Knight rethemed into a Haunted Mine shaft, 100ft Super Loop
Six Flags Fiesta Texas = Scarecrow's Barnstormer (Zamperla Air Race)
Six Flags Over Texas = Wonder Woman (RMC Raptor) or Water Park
Six Flags Over Georgia = Two-Face: the Flip Side (S&S 4D), prep for 2021 water park expansion
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom = DC Super Friends (most likely a re-do of a pre-existing kids area)
Six Flags New England = Supergirl (Endeavor), Mat Racer, Superman gets new trains (This was Josh's idea and I totally agree)
Six Flags America = Batwing Removed at end of season, DC Super Friends (replaces Whistlestop Park; however they would move rides between their kids areas with maybe only 1-2 new ones added)
Six Flags St Louis = Wonder Woman (RMC Raptor)
Six Flags Darien Lake = Batman: the Ride (S&S 4D), Ride of Steel returns to former name, Scrambler becomes Harley Quinn Spinsanity, Lasso becomes Wonder Women: Lasso of Truth or Gothem City Crimewave, Boomarang becomes Two-Face: the Flip Side
La Ronde = Total Mayhem (S&S 4D)
Frontier City = Skyscreamer
Great Escape = Blue Hawk (Zamperla Air Race)

I can’t say I 100% agree it’ll happen, but I would absolutely love it if this happened. I think we’re getting at least one custom coaster though. And if MM gets flats of that size they’re getting like 12.

I could see Great Escape getting a Skyrocket II or a free spin whenever they do end up getting a coaster next

I really hope not. I want a truly unique coaster, there are Free Spins everywhere and there is a Sky Rocket II 3 hours away.

SFGAM- Family Flat Package or One Thrill Flat
SFGAD- S&S Air Launch or RMC of some sort
SFM- Thrill Flat
SFFT- Family Rides
SFOT- Coaster of some sort
SFOG- Floorless Conversion on their Stand-Up or S&S 4D
SFDK- Drop Tower or Family Ride
SFNE- Endeavor, Mat Racer and Superman Trains
SFA- Prep for 2021 Raptor/Family Ride
SFSTL- Family Rides
SFDL- S&S 4D
FC- Zamperla Midi-Discovery
LR- S&S 4D? (not sure)
TGE- Thrilling Flat

If SFNE gets new trains they are not going a water slides and an endeavor. I don't know the full press of the endeavor but knowing some of their other rides Its over a million dollars. new trains will cost upwards 3 million. A slide or kiddie pool might get teamed up with it since they could so a mat racer or small pool for less then a half million.

as for the Sky rocket II I get LC is 3 hours away. but depending on where you live your very unlikely to ever visit LC and in turn making it a rare coaster. but I get your point.

That 's a little hard since most ride options have been installed somewhere in the area. If you build custom coasters that is about it to give theme something truly unique..
