Edaville is adding a kersplash coaster. Do you think this means that they will be open more during the summer?

For starters Welcome to the site.

I think you will see more hours just how much is the question. they also added a walkthrough Dino area. as well as the balloon tower ride at the end of last year. your not going to want to ride a water ride late fall.

My guess is you will see weekends Friday Saturday, and Sundays over the summer with midweek special events here and there. they do have more rides on the horizon and as they get bigger and can draw more people we'll likely see better hours.

thank you mrceagle! hopefully its open more I went on a wednesday night in early december and it was decently crowded. I think they should add 1 or 2 bigger family rides/small major rides like a round up or a tornado.

There is a Dark ride (pirate themed) on the To Do list. there are more flats planed but no specifics on to what kind.

I have been watching Edaville very closely and even attended one of the buyers tours a couple years ago through Whalom. They have a lot of land and with a few creative attraction they could add more.

I am glad to see they are getting a coaster. It will certainly help the park's attendance. We have never been there but it is on the list for 2014 now. I am sure it will be the same for many others.

To be honest I find that news a bit sad. The very simple family water coaster adds a coaster yes. but it's big attraction the narrow gauge train has been around for years. It has features a solid flat selection for some time. and it has grown over the last couple years.

Some Parks need the support to generate income to build some level of coaster. Take Santa Land For Example.

As they said in Field of Dreams "if you build it they will come" Over the last years this park has had such limited hours and dates and a relatively high admission for the attractions that surely attendance was impacted. Recently they have added more and I hope the coaster will put them over the top for people deciding to give them their hard earned money for a visit. You talk about supporting the park so they can build better attractions. I think it works the other way, build better attractions and more people will come. That is really the American way.

I get your point but there has to be a medium. I agree hours were and still are horrible. I think part of that was trying to figure out were to head after may change of hands.

Building it on the hops they come. It doesn't work. Yes certain attraction will have a newness boost but it's rarely sustainable. If you build too big too fast you end up like Funtown which built 2 big attractions and now can only afford average sized addition every 3 years.

I would just say don't overlook a park simply because it doesn't have a coaster. you never know what sort of memories you will miss out on.

I know at least 2 things, but given the price of one I doubt it's part of the 16.

I think this is way bigger news than a campground or the majority of the other NE park projects. lol
I hope they get some rides NE has never seen before.

Most of what has been added is used. So I would not expect miracles. Yes I am confident there will be a couple bigger rides but the one big ride I know Of, Like I said earlier, I an not confident they will add that as part of the 16.

The tubs arms and motor have been in storage. a new track needs to be constructed.
