Is there no more Cold Stone, just plain Six Flags type ice cream?

I keep hearing that. It would have been my first time trying one.
Yes the Six Flags ice cream is replacing the franchised cold stone.

It seems like SFNE is always ahead when it comes to food offerings in the parks. Every year they have something new, and most of the time it's something you can't find in any other park.

Cold stone was cool! I guess they are kicking out any food that had licenses and when they are up, they are gone !

It makes sense. They can bring in their own ice cream and mix it on the cold stone if it was left behind. Basically you still have cold stone without the expensive branding.

I agree with doing away with the branding but they don’t mix on the frozen slab.
They sell a single scoop of ice cream in a plastic cup for $7.99. And - well that is more than the former establishment sold it for and without mix ins. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried it. It wasn’t at all worth it. Good luck being successful with those prices.

I think they are doing that because of the Diamon Elite and other memberships. The Thrill Shake is $14.99 with Diamond Elite it's $7.50 Fo I can see why prices are high so they can still make a good profit margin

Six Flags really needs to jump on the edible cookie dough bandwagon next! They are popping up in malls everywhere, and it’s so delicious!!!!!

See that's disappointing. I would have kept the concept but dropped the franchise. I agree that is way to high. I got Ice Cream today at a local place, Hayword's, I payed $5.29 with tax and for about a cup and a half of ice cream. I imagine the portion you got was not that big.
While that makes sense in hind sight its total BS. a serving is what maybe a cup? So thatch about $0.50 cents of ice cream a 0.02 cent cup and a .01 cent spoon. not even $0.55 cents. now lets assume they only sell 10 of these an hour so that's they need to add $2.00 to cover the employee and power and another 1.00 to make a profit. So they can afford to sell this for 3.75 to $4.00 to the Diamond elite members. That would put the full price around $6.50

So even the diamond elite is paying an overly inflated price.
