"Two thrill rides are coming to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashanutucket.

The casino announced Monday that it will open the Thrill Tower at Foxwoods, which will include the Sky Drop and Sky Launch.

The Sky Drop will take four riders at a time who will be lifted to the top of Thrill Tower before free-falling 120 feet to the bottom.

Sky Launch will propel two riders sitting back-to-back from the ground to the top of Thrill Tower and back again.
“At Foxwoods, our mission is to reimagine the modern resort casino,” Jason Guyot, vice president of resort operations and development at Foxwoods Resort Casino, said. “Thrill Tower at Foxwoods offers guests the chance to experience an unforgettable and truly unique moment, which is exactly what guests expect when they walk through our doors. The addition of these outdoor adventure attractions represent a significant development in a larger strategy to separate from the competition with bold, innovative property offerings.”

Foxwoods previously announced the opening of the HighFlyer Zipline, a 33-story high adventure that launches guests from the top of the Fox Tower to the Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center at a top speed of 60 miles per hour.

Thrill Tower at Foxwoods will be open later this summer from 10 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Sunday."

    Yes it's miss titled.

I don't get this move. The zip line is unique the launch tower not so much. there is none is pretty much every park in the region.

    The rides were really fun!!!
The drop tower is crazy, it only has a seat belt, no lapbar or restraint!
The slingshot was sick. There's no seats, but two saddles that face back to back. You can either flip or go straight up and down. Some serious thrill on these two rides. Definetly give it a shot when you go.

It's from the makers of the soarin eagle zipline.

It's probably sold for about 600-700k.

The sign said it was $35 to ride both, but I was sold a combo ticket for $30. I assumed it meant 1 ride on each, but it was actually good for 2 rides on each, provided they were taken back to back.

The drop tower was among the best I've ridden. The drop was much more intense than any of the S&S ones in New England. The drop was as powerful as the ones on those ARM/Larson ones but with much more minimalistic effects. They also had some sound effects at the top like Down Time.

The Sky Sling thing was intense. I preferred the drop tower but the flips at the top were wild and cool with that minimalistic of restraints. I got a bit of a stomach drop on the way down as well.

That's great news. Price isn't bad if it's good for 2 rides on each. . A bit steep for e one ride. I read somewhere they will be adding a malti level go cart attraction.

I agree. I'm not sure if the double rides were only because of there not being anyone else there or if it's the norm.

Might try and check it out next year. I guess we'll know more as more users try it.
