Yeah I think 10 years is a bit much for a dry park. I’m sure they added water park , probably to rising popularity , but I think if adding to dry park would probably help go a long way ! I truly hope palace Playland adding two coasters shows funtown , they have to do something !

The water park did get more attention more reticently the the tower. with the pool being reworked and the plash pad nothing big. they upgraded the slides on the side also. but like pointed out 10 years for the try park and in that time they took out half the antique cars and the mouse replaced the galaxy so it was more a swap then an addition.

We will be going to Palace this summer but not Funtown and I would bet we are not the only ones. Perhaps a hit at the gate will motivate some additions.

I would hope so. With the exception of York's wild kingdom every other park in new England has added something in the time Funtown has not. I visited 2 season back because I won a ticket. It was good to be back and the park was reasonably well kept but I also saw a number of fountains that have now become planters and parts of the park that just seemed rundown and unappealing

I think if the park invested in a few family/flat rides maybe even a dark ride it would help. Its a small park and I don't think a coaster is the answer yet. I like the flume and Excalibur, the indoor scrambler and a couple of the flats , it needs a few more rides added . They have the land to do so, but for some reason not wanting to add the rides.

I agree a coaster should be lower on the list. A few family rides maybe a true thrill ride. All they have now for a solid thrill ride is Excalibur. But if they could add a smaller family ride or a kiddie ride that can accommodate adults like a miler coaster It would be a solid addition.

Inaddtion to more ride offerings I feel they need to upgade there food service and gifts. There main giftshop is tucked away and most of the food offerings are too plus they only have botteled soda I dont if it just me but when im at a park Ill like to have fontian beavergaes and a sovenier cup for collect/ filling up. Ride whish at this point they need SOMETHING in the dry park if its a set kids area or a coaster plus ingenral the park needs a refresh. Lastly they need to get a longer operating season add a haunt event or something for sacks the waterpark toke a stab at one this past year. In genral right now FTST should be Manies best park but I have more intrest in PP they just need to do something to be like oh were here.

A new company was brought in to handle the food last year I don;t know what they dd soda wise bur all the food locations got reworked. I persoanly don;t mind the bottles but a souvenir cup would be nice.

I agree fully on the gift shops they are horrible. My brother and I had every intention of buying a park shirt when we went 2 years ago but could not find a branded shirt in any gift shop. They were all filed with just and nothing of lasting value. The Small gift shop used to have themed merchandise and not its cheap grab and go items and hats.

Sure the new arcade was nice, small but nice. I found the staff great but the games areas were hit and miss. though the oldest game area is now blocked off. Why it's a renters back yard. they are renting out the apartment over the gift shop and the person wanted a yard and parking area.

One odd thing I noticed at Funtown was that you couldn't get a free cup of water. I had to pay 25 cents or use the bubbler.

I can't think of another US park that charges for a cup of tap water.

I'm sure there are others. I had to pay 35 cents to get a cup of ICE water in DD's in the Mall of NH

That's a bit odd to charge for a cup of water at a park. That's like common sense 101 , you give the water, you don't give them the giant cup but one of those smaller plastic ones that I see most parks give is good enough

i think a lot of people know about the cup change because I saw dozens of people waling around with their own sports bottles.

When Tina & I went there back in 2014 we asked a few drink places for some water in a cup and they wanted to sell us bottles of water, they told us they weren’t allowed to give out cups of water. We were able to get a cup or two of water when we went to Water Country the next day, but again, we’re digressing...
