From an outsider King Cobra looks really fun, but so do slides.

They are starting to update the website with the Hurricane Harbor name changes. I'll highlight them below.....

I'll post it in a "Previous - New" format

    Capt'n Hook's River Adventure - Adventure River
    Mega Wedgie - Big Kahuna
Lumberjack Splash Wave Pool - Hurricane Bay
Paul Bunyan's Bucket Brigade - Splashwater Island
    Black Cobra - Typhoon Twister
    Twisted Racer - Wahoo Racer
    Cliffhanger - Paradise Plunge

There's likely more name changes coming (and a few that will be unchanged) that haven't been updated on the website yet so we'll have to wait and see on:

Buccaneer Beach, Tornado, Bonzai Pipelines, the 3 Kingdom Cascade's slides (Blue Typhoon, Twister Falls, Banshee Plunge) and anything else I may have missed.

    Cliffhanger is becoming Paradise Plunge.

I doubt Bonzai Pipelines and Buccaneer beach are going to be renamed since they are both new in the last couple years. And they are pretty generic names so they will fit with the new theme

Paradise Plunge is not the name I would have imagined for Cliffhanger LOL. But i added it to the list anyways.

But hey, overall I think the names are pretty good.

Not a fan of them straying away from the more "Adirondack-like" names. Made the waterpark feel a little less generic and fit the overall landscape of the park.

I agree but they can't copyright generic names and the name change will mean they can market it as something bigger then it is.

From what I’ve heard, this will be a full blown renovation of the waterpark- not just some cheap signs and Bucket Blasters like most of us (including myself) initially thought.

Unless things change between now and Memorial Day, there should be new theming throughout, new paint on the older slides and elsewhere, the new names, some older attractions being rethemed, Bucket Blasters, Shipwreck Cove, etc.

It does stink to lose the uniqueness of Splashwater Kingdom’s theme, but if they do this the right way the water park should look close to new.

Interesting that the park is promoting Bucket Blasters but not Shipwreck Cove. It’s on the website and is obviously getting built but i’d love to know whey they aren’t promoting it- even if it is a small splash area. The dunkin donut ads are also out in store and dont mention shipwreck cove.

That is surprising. I agree, you figure they would be promoting it as 2 additions.

    Maybe it’s delayed?
