I am so happy to hear this. As I have said before, I never really care what rides are named, but this may really help the park. There are lots of Batman/Gotham fans out there now with the movies and TV show. If they even get a small % of them to come check out "Gotham" it has to help.

I'm more excited that the area would likely be getting a facelift. Mind Eraser needs paint and it's queue is looking run down. Batman could use some sprucing up.

This might be a dumb question, but will it be open for opening day? It looks like they are making good progress.

Odds are that it might look ready by then (and quite possibly be testing), but I doubt the park will have it open. They love to wait for Memorial Day to open everything.

^Which is the stupidest strategy ever. If it is ready - open it. I get it that coasters often can't be ready in April but a flat - really?? Somehow they think people seeing the ride, albeit not running, will make them want to come back to ride it. DUH - if they ride it and love it the chance of a return seems to increase in my thinking. So many parks open their new attractions on opening day but that is very rare for a SFI park.

^ Agreed. So far since I’ve been visiting the park (2009) I know of only two new attractions that were ready on opening day, but I digress...

Thank you, that does seem like a counter intuitive strategy. Hopefully whatever the Riddler thing is will be open, the clue had the date of opening day.

Hopefully we will be doing another drone update in the next couple weeks to see the progress of all the construction projects. I'm pretty sure the park will be making an announcement at noreaster.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the retheme isn’t happening this year. It’s about to be March & if they were retheming Mind Eraser they would have to repaint. And to do it right, it would take longer than a month to repaint it. How long did it take to repaint Pandy? And that was repainting the original color scheme. Not changing it.

If they don’t retheme Mind Eraser, and the ? Teaser for Riddler only meant that South End would be renamed to Gotham City than that’s pretty lame and seems like the park went through a lot of effort for that teaser announcement of just a name change.

^There was a job listing posted for coaster painters a month or two ago so something is being painted this season. I agree the painting should happen very soon unless they are aiming for Memorial Day weekend. Which would be dumb.

If a ride is ready, they should have it open. I feel like they would have a much better turnout for opening day and people would want to buy season passes if they had it ready on opening day.

Maybe the teaser is VR for Harley Quinn.
