It always depends on the weather but usually the best plan on a weekend is to be there well before opening, buy and print your tickets on line so no waiting at ticket booths, and go directly to BD first.

    Yeah I’m super excited.

I’ve been reading the up on the park just because I never knew a ton, do they do yearly additions? I was trying to see if they have a new ride this year but I can’t find anything.

I don’t think we’re going to see anything major this year. They haven’t announced anything so far. However, it’s prudent to keep ones fingers crossed. You never know what they might surprise us with. Phobia was their last new ride and biggest investment.

When do they usually announce them?

In the fall. For a while, the park was adding rides almost every year. Then they spent a small fortune (for them) on Phobia several years ago and haven’t added anything noteable since.

Ah, I see. From what I can tell this park is the ideal park for like a Raptor. I’m not saying I think it’s gonna happen, but I feel like this is the small local park RMC was eyeing when they designed the Raptor.

There’s been no shortage of speculation about what they might do. The idea of a mega coaster pops up from time to time. So does a water coaster in the waterpark as well as a speed slide complex. Somebody recently suggested that a HUSS Condor ride might be coming, but as far as I can tell, it’s all just rumor.

One things for sure, all the surrounding parks have been expanding their ride and attraction lineup recently, season after season, and Lake Compounce must be aware of this. If they want to compete, they need to get going on some new additions and soon.

LC would have announced long ago if there was anything coming for 2019. Those announcements spur renewals and new pass sales. This will be another infrastructure year. The last two years they spent a ton on fixing Wildcat, a whole new section of track for BD, and replacing a pump station in the waterpark. This was all after they broke the bank (for a small park) to put in Phobia. Maybe 2020 will be the year.

Like I said I can’t really speculate here because I’ve never been, I’m just saying that from what I can see they can be getting a really cool coaster soon.

Is Wildcat any good, or is it rough??

Wildcat is better than it was but I still recommend front seat or at least stay off the axles.

It looks fun but heavily overshadowed by Boulder Dash.
