They said they are going to make a final decision on it by the middle of the summer....Its been 6 or 7 years in development now. It will take 1.5 years to complete. They seem excited and optimistic about the coaster... 3,500 feet of track, 100 ft. tall. The layout looks seriously cool. They made it pretty clear that a big thing holding them back is the parking issue. They're expecting an increase of 300,000 visitors to Wildwood in general over the next 10 years and as they put it, those people will need places to eat, shop, stay and park.

I have not been, but it is a park that I find intriguing. I would like to visit some day. I find that parking is an issue with all pier and seaside parks. lots are normally owned by outsiders that charge a arm and a leg and don't keep them up.

See, thats a great thing about Morey's. Family fun, and seriously they clean everything from trash to seagull poop. They're really good about that stuff and the clean environment really makes an impact.

    Prices are very reasonable for what they're giving you. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.moreyspiers.com/plan/pricing/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.moreyspiers.com/plan/pricing/</a>
I really don't think the tickets are worth it. Unless you're only there to ride certain rides, the wristband is more worth it. They also have long hours too which is fantastic..Closing at 12am Sun-Fri and 12:30am on Saturdays. Gets insanely packed.

I really like it because my parents can tag along with me when i ride things and they dont have to buy a ticket.

Morey's and Wildwood in general can be a really fun trip. No world class coasters but there is plenty to do and the pier/seaside environment makes it different than corporate parks. Their "Coastin' by the Ocean" event every July is considered one of the best run and best valued ACE events every year.

It's always enjoyable for me. Morey's is very accommodating with that kind of stuff. I dont remember if it was last year or a few years ago, but Morey's was still running The Great White at 2am just for the ACE event, when they closed at 12:30am. They are also really good about opening piers early for groups like TPR and stuff. They're a very classy business. They have seating everywhere, awesome food and drink stands, I know I sound like im sucking Morey's a little too much, but you people seriously wouldn't understand the high class business they run unless you've experienced it for years and years! I will even go as far to say they could get an award for their greatness. One of the best parts is too, is that you see Will and Jack Morey walking around the piers frequently and they're very friendly and willing to say hello to all. I saw Will in a restaurant in Wildwood at breakfast one morning, and he was very friendly to everyone.

I mean they know how to make a business off just a very little. Imagine six flags trying to run a park with only mind eraser flashback and cyclone. Yeah they couldn't. They do all the little things right

I wouldn't say very little. They have 6 coasters. 3 of which are "thrill", and the other 3 family. Great White is a full sized wooden coaster and provides just as much thrills as your average SF or Cedar Fair woodie. Great Nor'Easter is, in my opinion, 10X better than any SLC you will ride with the new trains, Sea Serpent is the oldest Boomerang in the US and one of the first models ever built and is in fact one of the smoothest in the US. Doo Whopper is a full sized wild mouse family coaster..etc. You get my point. And with the new woodie, if its ever built, then I 100% wouldn't say very little even though I still wouldn't say that now.

In terms of flat selections, they have more than most SF or Cedar Fair parks and their selections is great for all ages. They have some serious thrill flats, some great family flats, and some great kids flats.

Comparing a Six Flags park with an SLC, a boomerang, and a "cyclone" to Morey's doesn't really work...Six Flags has to do more to attract visitors because they aren't just going to show up, where as Morey's, visitors are always there 24/7. Visitors are going to see the attractions lit up every night until 1am, going to hear the screams from their hotels, etc... Its a whole different market. Don't get me wrong, Morey's still has to do a ton of advertising, but in a different way on a different level.

Just look at the Great Escape for example. They're getting the amount of visitors they do because the park is located directly in a vacation spot. There are ads in Lake George/Glens Falls every 10 feet for the Great Escape. People come from all over the country, even different countries to visit Lake George. Would the Great Escape get the same attendance if it was in a non-tourist location? I can't answer that, but you get my point.

The only thing I have a problem with, with Morey's is they charge so much for a season pass and it doesn't include any upcharges. Not even 1 or 2 per year.
Easy Rider (Under 42" or Over 25 Yrs) $325.00
    (25 & Under) $450.00

I really don't understand why being under 25 has so much to do with the price. Its a 125 dollar diffrence from being 24 and being 25 which is redicoulus

The park is indeed massive for a seaside/pier park. and yes their selection is as good as most average sized amusement parks.

As for attendance. it woudl depend on the local population. A high population could get as high if not more attendance.
Ya that is high, my guess is they are trying to keep people spending. at that price it's only appealing to locals tat can go often and use it a lot. Look at Season passes at Disney it also manages the crowed.

tge98 - Could be do to the fact that that age group is a bit more troublesome. More likely to do stupid things. The price also seems set up to compare with other passes. $66 combo pass. Also available 2, 3, and 4 day passes.

Just checked and you gt 50% off Extreme rides(up-charges). There are many other discount. 3 hours in the water ark with 3 upgrades to full days. Free tram use along with other discounts.

With it being announced that Coaster Con will be at GADV and Morey's in 2015, I'd say that's a pretty good indicator the longer awaited and long in development new coaster will be coming!

Edit: Engineering Design Associates of Cape May confirmed they are in the process of doing the site work for the coaster which will cost $12 mil. Great to hear!
