National roller coaster Day event @ SFNE

ACE NE region is working with the park to have an event to commemorate National roller coaster day. The event will take place on August 19th, stay tuned for more details.

I really wish it wasn't on a Saturday.
Looks like I'll have to get a flash pass.

Why? Park is manageable without giving them extra money. Hit the big coasters early before the lines get bad. skip crappy flats like the Scrambler. Only show that's a must hit s the magic show.

I just received this email from ACE:

You've known the date - August 16, 2014

We've been waiting for details (schedule, pricing, meal, etc.)

We have a price!

ACE members and their guests with a season pass: $19
ACE members and their guests without a season pass: $38
Price includes park admission, a delicious lunch,
Q&A with park management, and more!

Other details to be announced once they're confirmed - Stay tuned!

Here's all the details:
9:15am Check in at main gate for wristband
9:45am ert on all major attractions
2pm lunch and Q&A in the picnic grove, SFNE coaster challenge (special Prize), Raffle prizes during lunch.

RSVP by august 6th, there is no online or onsite registration.

I hope I get my membership by then

So its the 16th not the 19th

Saturday August 16. If you join online you will get a receipt that you can print out and use as a temporary card until you get the real one via snail-mail. You can also print temporary or replacement cards from the website.

Its cool I was wondering why when I went to it it brought me here

I sent my registration in yesterday so im ready to go to this event.

Was recently chatting to a staff member through email:


"Are you coming to SFNE for National Roller Coaster Day this Saturday? We will have the front cart of the Cyclone in the main gate area for the school supply donation drive as well as for guests to take photos."
I like how much they are paying attention to Cyclone even though it closed.
