Northeast New For 2019

As April approaches I was looking at what will be the new coasters in the Northeast this year. There is nothing new in NH or CT this year. MA has Kersplash at Edaville slated but it has been slated for about five years now. LOL So don’t hold your breath on that one.

VT has a small Wisdom kiddie coaster scheduled to open this summer at Quechee Gorge Village. That will be the only coaster in VT other than the mountain coasters. NY has one new for 2019 way out at Fantasy Island near Buffalo and it is just a Wisdom Dragon Wagon.

NJ is the hot spot for new in 2019 with 8 slated to open. There is one each a Moreys, Jenkinson’s and Storybook Land. All are smaller coasters. The big news is the Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park at the Dreamlands Mall is set to open in April. The indoor park is reported to have five coasters and two will be major coasters with LSM.

PA has one new for 2109 at Kennywood. Steel Curtain should be good. I plan to wear my Patriots SB 53 championship shirt when I ride it. LOL

This is a strange year since most parks are either adding Flats or just coming off of bigger addition Canobie Castaway Expansion Palace's 2 new coasters. There are a few flats coming in and the Aquarium going in next to Story land is not a small project.

Has anyone heard anything about the perpetually delayed KerSplash? At this point I'm skeptical it will ever open.

I plan to ride the coasters at the mall and i'm hoping steel curtain is open when i go in june. Make sure to buy the onride photo on steel curtain if you wear the SB shirt Ed.

Nothing. The entire area seems half completed. They also have a dark ride that seems installed but not opened and they bought a pirate ship that had to be sent back but also no updates.
