We were meeting some friends for dinner in central NJ Saturday night so we made it into a PA/NJ road trip to ride some new coasters in the area. We started the morning at Dutch Wonderland. They finally got their Junior hang and bang open this season after an entire year of trying in 2017. It was smooth and fun and certainly the most thrilling coaster in the park. The theming seemed a bit off as the video screen in the station couldn't be seen from all rows. It should really help them with having more there for the tweens.

Next stop was Sesame Place to ride their new GG woodie Oscar's Wacky Taxi. The theming on this was awesome from the queue to the station and the look of the train with Oscar "driving" the train. The park was totally slammed. We arrived at noon and it took over 30 minutes just to get into the parking lot which was in overflow mode. The crazy thing was that the wait for their brand new coaster was a station wait. Everyone was in the water park!! As for the ride, it wasn't as good as Wooden Warrior but was much better than Roar-0-Saurus. I am sure it will be very popular and probably got much more attention later in the day as folks left the water.

Last stop of the day was Morey's Pier. Thy have a new SBF spinner called Wild Whizzer. There is nothing special about these and we have now ridden a bunch of them. It was fun to get back to Wildwood for the first time in 7 years and walk the boardwalk looking at all the decadent food I have sworn off. LOL

We met our friends for dinner on the way home. It was a lot of driving but a fun day. The weather was a bit hot but not bad and no real rain at all which really brought out the crowds. We had wanted to pop in to SFGADV for a couple of hours (El Toro & Nitro) but the time got too tight and I can only imagine what the lines were like there yesterday so that will have to be another time.

^We had been to Dutch Wonderland a couple times before so we didn't spend a lot of time there. It is a quaint park aimed at younger kids and they were pouring in as we left!! I would advise being there at opening if possible.

The Lancanster area itself is unique and interesting as the largest population of the Amish community is there. As you approach the park after you get off the highway you will see them in horse drawn carts. It is fascinating how a culture has survived and actually flourished living aside our culture and has not been assimilated as so many others have been. As we drove to Sesame Place in Langhorne, Casey googled the Amish and we learned so much!

    Enjoy your day there.
