Palace Playland Discussion Thread

So I saw on italia, that Palace is selling fiesta loco and mobydick. I don't really care about these rides but does anyone know what they want to do with their space?

They are selling more then that. the Orient express coaster and rio grand kiddie train are also listed.

I would assume it is to make way for something new. given their smaller coaster is on the list it could be a new family coaster.

what else do you think that they are considering to move or replace. :?:

Bear affair is also listed to add that to the list I gave you. this would be rides located in the back right corner to the back of galaxy to the flume.

only other ride i think that might be in the area would be power surge.

i don't think they will remove power surge. Its to risky to replace a great attraCTion. But the one you may have seen on that page was probally a different one.

but I think I figures it out. I mentioned that Bear affair was also listed but not mentioned before.

you also asked about rides that were in the way that might need to be relocated. I mentioned that Power surge is in that area. as in it may need to be relocated to make room for a larger attraction.

I asked them on facebook. There respounce was that it was for a BIg thing coming next year. There keeping it a secret though.

not sure if it would fit them but it's possible. Sort of wish instead of removing bear affair they would remove a couple kiddie rides and relocate the bear affair.

There is a lot of room there. Mabey if they push the slides away a little it would be better. But i hope bear affair stays.
That is one of the only rides that the whole family can enjoy and at there own speed. Most of the kid's rides are height limited.

and there was a tornado there before that took up a lot more space than needed.

Ya I remember the tornado. I actually enjoyed it more at palace then i did at LC. Seemed to fit in better.

I looked at the spot and it open up about 80 by 120 ft. that would fit a good size coaster. or a dark ride.

Where did that tornado end up?

No clue, it was a portable model so it could have gone to a carnival

Okay. they have finally sold bear affair for a safer, more reliable and easier acessed ride. Dizzy Dragons. It's in there parking lot now!!!

The Dizzy Dragon is the exact same Selner ride. the body is all that is different.

There is a platform to this one to make it safer to get on and of instead of the ladder.
