After a call out to locals CT schools Quassy has chosen a name for their new Wood Coaster. "Wooden Warrier" was the top pick voted on by park staff from the submitted names. The name is released only days after the park's Mad Mouse Steel coaster took its last ride. The coaster will come out after this year with teh addition of the new wood coaster.

The new wood coaster is designed by gravity group and will feature the companies new Timberliner Trains which will hold 12 rides.

    Sats:
    1,250 feet long
    35 feet high
    45 foot Drop
    35 mph top speed

It dose look like a Fun coaster. I look forward to trying the Timberliners. While I very much liked the mouse the line kept me form re-riding it. I can see me holding a Marathon on this coaster on my trips.

It does look fun, its hot huge by any means, but i notice that coasters that are not overly huge are more fun then giant ones, MF at Cedar Point is the classic example of that !!!

The big drop on the coaster is 45 ft dropping into the area now used for picnic grove. So it will be on teh short end but still bigger then your average family coaster. I think this will be a pleasant surprise when it opens.

I think this is a perfect addition to the park, and I also think it's awesome that they're using timberliner trains! Can't wait to go and try them out in the spring!

One thing I find intriguing with the coaster is like boulderdash it dose use the terrain of the park. The station is on a hill. so is the lift. teh rest is in a lower section that is currently sports sections of the picnic ground.

This coaster should go up fairly quick, especially if it's already going vertical because it's so small. Can't wait to see the results!

It helps that is was originally going to be installed for this year. They got finally permission late but they were able to start construction mid season.

The highest section of track was put in place the other day. They topped the section with a American and Quassy flag.

Looks smaller than what I thought, but still seems like it'll be a great family coaster.

How tall did you think 35 ft would be? but the drop off sets how tall you might think it is since it's droping into a field.

I think this will provide a healthy boost to the park. the Mouse was a blast but this is an attraction worth talking about. It's great to see another wood coaster come to the area.
