I totally forgot how nice this park is and the kiddie area has so many rides which will probably get my vote for best kids area on the golden ticket awards. I rode their 3 classic flats, derby racer which runs faster then cedar downs, ye' old mill which i love and the whip which i thought was a little better then knoebels. The dragon coaster is such a long ride, though it is smooth the train goes so slow through the course. Both haunted house are really good like knoebels haunted mansion good, all in all i had a fun time at the event.

I got 1 ride on the kiddie coaster and 4 rides on the dragon coaster during our 1 hour of ert. We only rode the flume and the rides i mentioned above as we ended up leaving at 4pm. The park had the ACE plaque ceremony with the unveiling for the first ever kiddie wooden coaster to receive the honor from ACE. We also did the group photo with 78 attendees there which was from noon till 12:30. Believe it or not the music express is the most popular ride in the park that i could tell as the ride was full every cycle with music blasting on it.

I'm not surprised before the music express was added the Flying bobs was one of the top rides.

Pulling a fit over the deal now will do nothing but slow down any progress the park has made. The deal is not amazing but is pretty good. 300K can do a lot of good for the county. A smaller take of profits is needed to invest more in the par so hat when their take increases over the years the park is in a better position to generate revenue.

Rye is a nice attraction. it needs to be better advertised and they do need to clean up the park in some sections. but I don't think the counties new approach will help anything.

I'm about 15 minutes from Playland. I've only been once in the past 2 years. I would much rather drive the 2 hours to SFNE. I really hope the park gets back on track and is able to generate enough revenue to invest in new attractions instead of the current state where most of the capital goes towards maintenance costs.

I've only been one round 10 years ago. They have not added much sine then. nothing to Merritt the nearly 5 hour drive. I do want to get back. but thing s like the carousel being down detract from my interest.

It has been 2009 since we were there even though we drive right past it multiple times each season. Maybe once they get this all worked out (the discussion of what to do with this park has been going for well over a decade) they might add something new to entice us back. We would like to ride the Derby Racer again as that experience is not available much and it is way cool. The admission structure makes going for a couple of rides (which we might do otherwise) a losing prop. $15 per to get in, $10 to park the car and then $5 or $6 for each ride is cost prohibitive to me. So, for example, if we wanted to stop in, ride Derby Racer and the Dragon Coaster it would be an outlay of $60+! That means we won't be back unless there is a new coaster as a new attraction.

The admissions have changed a little over the past few years; its now all POP bands, which are $30 per person. It's still not worth it in my eyes, although the ace event for $20 and ERT was a good value.
