Here's a thread for Great Escape speculation and rumors which should be heating up relatively soon!

    Lets kick this thread off,

I personally find it a bit convenient that TGE opted to remove the Pirate ship. Yes Super nova is a swinging ride but the overall ride experience is very different.

That leaves one to wonder why they really removed the ride. Could this be to free up space next to the water park. The water park is do for a new addition.

I forgot who brought this up but a while back someone said that according to Coney Island's forums Supernova was actually suppose to be removed before this year. This brings up a interesting theory that Supernova was actually suppose to open up in 2013 and The park came up with Screamin Eagles as a quick Replacement so TGE could get a new ride. This pushes everything back a year and the Big Year that was suppose to be in 2014 actually got pushed back to 2015.

I personally think 2015 will be a coaster year not a water park year.

I'm not sure. What I've heard is that Six Flags and Zamperla worked out some sort of partnership last summer. Zamperla is doing stuff that most people don't even know they do. I think Extreme Supernova was part of that deal. But maybe it's a little bit of both.

If they did partner up with zamperla, maybe the park might see something along the line of the new thinderbolt at Coney Island

I also never heard anything about Zamperla removing any rides till last summer. weather or not they made some sort of deal to offer up SFI their used rides I have no clue. It's not like it's impossible notice Canobie got the prototype of Skater to try it in a park setting.

I do want to see a new coaster at TGE. but like I have said in the past they have plenty of coasters for a park its size. so if they add a coaster it really needs to replace a preexisting one that is not holding its weight. That's why I have talked about removing Bobsled.

I think bobsled should stay because it's unique, but demon I've heard is quite painful and it could go at some pointsome point

The only coaster in the park that fits and is in any way useful at this point is Comet. a very sad second is boomerang. The rest of the coasters are nothing special or out dates. Yes Bobsled is unique but it's riddled with problems and it's unique nature is not in any way driving attendance.

^there's nothing wrong with guessing on when we're getting a coaster. Its bound to happen one of these years.

At the ACE Day Q&A, I asked if there were any plans to reverse the back two cars on Canyon Blaster again, they said that they have no plans to do that right now but hinted at the possibility about doing it again for Fright Fest...

And Condor is back up and running - albeit minus the sign...

    It was sarcasm.

Anyway, good to hear Condor was running.

Canyon Blaster is nothing spacial they should reverse the train and keep it that way to give it a bit extra.

Yeah that's a poor decision in my eyes. Its funny too because the backwards option was full 90% of the time.

maybe their ideas are that if they left it backwards CB's popularity would continue to gradually decline. Their thoughts are probably if they just do it for Fright Fest it will give CB that spark every end of the year to lengthen its life span.
