At the Nor' Easter, There was a rumor that Story Land was interested in buying a new attraction for 2014. Where could it go?

    Re: Story Land Rumors

Story Land Announced is a bit of a stretch. I passed on the desire for Story Land.

Now about your question. I woudl prefer to see an attraction go some were else but the Sea and Farm area. There is a spot between the pirate ship and swan boat that could hols a ride in Cinderellas Court.

You could put a huge ride in if you removed the Little Drummers play area.

The circus area has no rides.

If you build up the land you could get a new ride in by the Bamboo chutes.

What Story Land needs is a little more thrilling family coaster. Polar Coaster isn't great as it is. They could also use a Scrambler of some sort. They're owned by Palace Entertainment, a classic company.

Palace is in no way a classic company. palace ran Water parks and FEC, Parcs Rewandous owns a variety of parks.

A scrambler could be OK but Min is 48 inches. Only a few rides have a required Minimum of 36 in. I don't see then getting a ride that requires a higher minimum.

A more thrilling coaster is great but you add thrill and you push up the Minimum requirement.

Storyland can add a little something that's thrilling yet doesn't meet the minimum. Any ideas? :)

    Re: Story Land Rumors

Story land has a history of adding very mild rides. and the only changes under new management are on par with that style. Story land is and will always be a family park. don't expect more then it will deliver.

The only thing close to a thrill ride I could see them add is some sort of tower ride. I a long time ago in on of those if you ran the parks listed a tower with a Jake and the bean stock theme.

Yes but I would maybe do one of the taller options just to be a bit different. Also get a 16 or so gondola for higher capacity.

I wouldn't put much merit on that list. they seemed to be pulling winners out of a hat. but there are a lot of pluses to story land. but a few negatives as well. The park really has been a bit stagnant since it dropped out of family hands.

Story Land still is amazing compared to other White Mountain attractions such as Six Gun City. Let's just hope that it remains classic.

To me, the park had lost a lot of character. I hate the company that its chained in. They ruin classic parks like kennywood and compounce.
