The park dose still have the Chute ride. so that would be doable.

as for the splash battle there is on at Story Land. its OK but nothing great.

Oh I didn’t know we still had it? If that’s the case they should definitely bring it out.

I would assume if it’s been left untouched it’ll be ready to use? Not sure.

It's possible but Fiberglas can be easily resealed and the supports rebuilt. Still cheaper the building a new chute ride.

Where could they even put it? Tbh it might be worth it to just axe Desperado and put this there. Use the rest of the land for future stuff.

Is there a way to figure it out? Where do you guys learn about all the rides in storage?

I asked the rep during the Nor Easter event. so it is onsite I did not ask about its current condition but anything left in storage would need to be rehabbed.

As for removing Desperado. they could add a new flume and the chute. if the new flume used the old indoor area as part of the layout I doubt anyone would be upset because it saves the best part.

They could tear down Desperado, built the chute and then put an updated scene at the top. It’s the same thing it was but newer and better looking. Idk much about width restraints but if they place is right they might be able to just reuse the same building.

The Chute is a good amount wider than the flume. I don’t remember but I’m guessing it’s also just the standard go up, float around and then splash down which doesn’t really line up with the building or that space in general. Wouldn’t be a great spot to add a splash zone either which a lot of people like on hot days.

True, I don’t know where a good spot for it would be though.

From what I can tell from comparing the imagery comparing 2007/2008 to May 2018 (the most recent imagery), the only thing that appears to be left of the ride is the 5 boats. So I think it's a stretch for the park to say they still have the ride.

This is a good question that’s gonna sound stupid because I don’t know how to word it, but do you think we’ll get a unique flat? Like if we get a flat ride, will we get one that’s been cloned or one unique to us (within the SF chain at least)?

In the simplest terms, are we getting a Zamperla Disk’O or a Zamperla Power Surge? (the latter would be amazing btw)

The Chute would need more space. What I was suggesting is biding a new flume with a better layout using the building for one of the drops.

When it comes to old school props these are in much better shape them most of the ones n the park.
If I recall right the chute is a double dip drop not a straight chute.
I asked that's what they say. I passed it on. outside of that its all speculation.
Anything it possible we have seen as many unique rides lately as we have clones. Disk'Os are Ok but I don;t find them a lot better then the Skaters. just more uncomfortable. A disco coaster would be fun and unique.I don't see the power surge Fitting it much style wise.
