TR SATURDAY 4-28-12 *FINAL UPDATE 5/17*

I wait in the long line to get in and they scan my season pass and it acts up again this week.
They told me to go to guest relations. I went to guest relations and they said they needed to get a manager to check it out. After 15 minutes of waiting, two security people come from one of the offices and take me aside.

"Due to your recent threats against (a worker) you are now on trespass for one year.
I was like what are you talking about. Then they told me about the trip report I posted last week about my unfortunate experience with (a worker) and that I was going to "Get even and settle the score". Well, apparently they took this as very threatening. Anyone that knows me here or in real life knows I am the least threatening type of guy out there. I explained to them I wasn't planning on a verbal / physical confrontation with (this worker) of any kind that I planned to take it up with guest relations and management and I did. And that they were agreeing with me being correct last week and even apologized and offered a free snack coupon. This did not matter. Security was pleasant with me, however there was no stating my case really. I was told I could write into the park and appeal it. I thanked them for the time and walked back to the car.

This is what America is coming to folks. I am not a left wingnut that sugar coats things and when I get mad I get mad. Freedom of speech? Well, it comes at a price. In my case season pass + parking. This is a fan site, not a park website. It's really sad that certain park workers need to lurk here and cause a problem when the problem itself was resolved. I could have understood their decision perhaps if I said something along the lines of "she best watch her back or I am going to beat her up". But for saying "getting even and settling the score"? Well, it was words and I fought with words and nothing else.

I am sure the person responsible for causing me to be suspended from the park will read this too. If they are, congratulations. You cost the park a VERY good paying and loyal guest. A guest that never once had any run-ins with security or employees before. Will I write in and basically grovel to get my pass back? No. Will I be buying a 2013 pass? No. Will I be patronizing parks that do not take life so damn seriously? Absolutely.

As far as the members of this site. . . especially the ones that did enjoy my trip reports and information.. It has been a pleasure. I will continue to be part of everything here and will post trip reports for other parks I visit (Lake Compounce). I also highly suggest you watch the way you word things in your posts going forward. Words can come back to haunt you. Ya'll learned a good lesson based on what happened to me.

Well, $100.00 extra in my pocket this week that I would have spent at the park. Let's see...That will just about pay for my LC season pass AND season parking. I can deal with that!

Well, at least they offered you a snack coupon that you will never use. I don't understand their appeal. You were loitering (standing aside the line, waiting for your food), took it up with guest relations and managment, and they thought you were verbally assulting people? Well, if you can't talk to guest relations, who can you talk to?

The sad part is, they could call me on the phone right now personally to say they changed their minds and could invite me back offering me everything free under the sun and I would kindly decline.

I will not be pursuing anything further with these people.
I kindly reminded them THEIR worker started this whole mess to begin with, but they are like doctors facing malpractice suits. They stick together regardless right or wrong.

You know what would have been nice? Had they called or emailed me (since they have my contact information) and told me I was no longer welcome this year.. But no, I take the trip up there, waiting in line for the tram, wait in line at the gate, waiting in line waiting for them to come talk to me.

I know precisely how they tracked me. They read my trip report, saw the email address affiliated with my account here, plugged it into their SP processing system and boom, they knew who I was.

Anyway, I hope other guests have better luck and wish them nothing but the best this season.
I am confident I could easily get the season pass re-instated if I took it through the right channels, but why bother? I am not going to go to a place where I am deemed a threat. If they only knew me they'd realize I never once caused a scene at the park (and lord knows they can push peoples buttons at times) and never once in a fight. I am 32 and never once im a physical altercation of any kind. Yeah, I'm a really the kind of guest you don't want around.

On average I can easily spend $100 - $150 a week at the park.

I did email Courtney at guest relations again, this time telling of what happened today.

The funny thing is, in my last email to her (I think last Wednesday) after I thanked her for all she did for me I said that I was letting by gones be by gones and considered the matter over and done with, and this was before I even knew I was banned.

I want to have the ban lifted and have the option of going back if I choose.
We will see, I did apologize for the choice of words I used and that I never was intending on verbally or physically assaulting this worker next time at the park, but rather press the issue (which I did) with guest relations and management to "settle the score".

I'll keep ya posted, but I doubt the ban will be lifted.

In regards to John Winkler apologizing - he didn't personally apologize to me. I was told my situation was reported to his assistant who reported it to him and that they were sorry this matter happened. Still, it did mean something to me though.

Going back and reading that original thread, I can see where some of the language you used could have been interpreted as a threat. But its completely ridiculous to me that they did not make any effort to contact you about the situation before you visited the park again. I mean, they could have given you a warning, or done something...anything else before totally banishing you from the park. Zero tolerance world we live in... :/

That sucks you got banned , you can also thank bin laden for this because of this the entire world went soft ! Everybody is going oh man he said this he gonna do something it's a security thing ! I know you Brian I know you wouldn't actually do something like that but I thing sfne said he said this ban him ! Not right but it goes either way of how it was misunderstood ! I hope the clan of us don't get banned for something !

That is rediculous. I am ashamed of how this situation turned out. Form what I'm hearing, and have read from you reports, you are a relaxed guy who takes time out to enjoy a day at the park. You didn't go crazy on her when she said you were loitering, I don't see the logic in this. I can't imagine how much things can change in 1 week.

I'm really going to miss your PTRs, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. The fact that you say everything truthfully and let the park know when it's wrong is great. Sorry about how the event turned out.

wow that's crooked. I would have demanded a refund on my pass and parking pass. all they would have need to do is contact you ans ask you about the message. I agree they should have contacted you about the ban because you invested money and time on them for nothing.

Bin Lauden has nothing to so with it the America has been growing a bunch of, pardon my french, pussies for a while now. Political correctness is a load of crap. people are paranoid and quick to judge, somebody has to be seen as the bad guy and people can't seem to read between the lines. they take little things and blow them out of proportion because if they don't plan for the worst not only do they feel they will be blamed and they are afraid they will get sewed. I can only assume it was a similar full of crap reason to why my facebook account was disabled.

I'm sure you will love your trips to LC and find your money will go much further there. I would also invite you up to Canobie if your up to the drive.
