We are currently in the process of creating a whole new version of the website. We know all of you guys have been waiting for it and I am happy to announce that it is finally happening! You guys will play a major hand in this process. So I am asking you, the dedicated visitors of the site, for your feedback. Any specific ideas? Color schemes? Anything you really really want to have on here. Fire away.
There is a hack for a chat for php BB. I have installed it on one of my boards definitely a new smilie pack maybe a new template using the green and blue color theme in honor of our new edition Goliath on a non software or hack side, youve got to update the home page and get rid of GCG. I sent a number of people here but they landed on the home page and thought that the forum was no longer active due to outdated home page content
As I told you earlier on Twitter, here are my suggestions: - Live park update/announcement section (early closings/delayed openings, ride status, etc.) - Reminders of special events such as concerts, media days, etc. - Links to popular threads in the forum - Live chat, as has been mentioned earlier, and reiterated by Mr. Scary That's all I can think of right now...
I've mentioned the main page having articles from the blog, and items from hot topics before. Definitely a new set of smiley packs.
phpBB has a hack that allows you to have a live shout box up at the top of your page where members can post anything- this may be an ideal place to add live park updates, announcements, ride closures etc....?
That's a really good idea. It could be very useful in my opinion. For our personal info that's listed under our account names, can we currently add "mottos" or phrases?
^ you mean a "signature"? Thats currently in the Admin CP, AJ can probably just enable that right now
Kid, if an Admin clicks "to allow signatures" under the member profiles area, you will have exactly what you are asking for In most board software set ups, its referred to as a "signature" its been a year or two since I built a php board, but I believe its still the same
I like the blue/green color scheme idea! Anyway that you can embed The Grove videos to the main page? possibly even watch it live from the site instead of going through facebook?

There blog will soon be no more. The plan was to always integrate it into the main site. All of the other suggestions are good. I mean is there anything else you want to see?

I've made a few changes to the forum. It needs to be updated so it will most likely be down sometime later tonight. Minor changes: -Quick reply has been added -Expanded the number of possible private messages in a members inbox -Removed the redundant list of moderators under each forum topic -Other little things behind the scenes that you guys will never notice Let me know if you guys like the changes and if you want anything else. (new smiley pack and forum refresh are on the way, btw)
