This looks like it will be one of the best if not the best hybrid coaster. I am kinda liking twisted colossus but it's just sad they are getting rid of more than half of it, looks cool though I guess.

I'll be honest, the outwards airtime hill is really drawing me in to the coaster.

I wonder if the first drop will have ejector. That determines it for me.

    I saw that comment.......sigh....

Again, this looks crazy, I love the drop.
It looks like they're sticking with the roof over the brake run, which is a little weird.

It only uses about half the layout. It won't follow the old path.

Very impressive, but I have to think of my coaster enthusiast kid who never got to ride Cyclone because she was too short.

Anyone seen anything about minimum height yet? I haven't seen it. She should be a solid 52" be media day and really hoping to ride.

48" is typical for RMCs. I'm sure this will be no different.

Heres the press release sent to us from the park.

    New England Park Introduces a

Coaster Showcasing the Latest in Innovation

AGAWAM, Mass — August 28, 2014 — Six Flags New England, the Thrill Capital of New England, today announced plans to add a new state-of-the-art roller coaster that integrates the latest in ride technology and innovation to Massachusetts—Wicked Cyclone. The Wicked Cyclone will offer the ultimate in thrills and adrenaline combining the extreme characteristics of both steel and wood to build the first hybrid roller coaster to hit the East Coast.

“We take great pride in creating incredible, one-of-a-kind experiences for our guests here at the Thrill Capital of New England,” said John Winkler, Six Flags New England Park President. “This project has been years in the making, and the addition of Wicked Cycloneenhances our commitment to delivering world-class thrills to Six Flags New England every year.”

With its unique construction, Wicked Cyclone will be:

    · A hybrid integrating a steel track on a wooden structure

    · The first coaster of its kind to hit the East Coast

    · A coaster with more airtime than any coaster in New England

    · The first coaster of its kind to have a 200 degree stall and two Zero G Rolls

    · The world’s only Double Reversing Bank Airtime Hill

Wicked Cyclone’s steel track provides riders with a smoother and more intense ride along its 3,320 feet of track. The ridestands 10 stories in the sky and reaches speeds of up to 55 mph. Once the twenty-four thrill seekers board Wicked Cyclone, it quickly climbs the 109-foot hill to then plummet at maximum speeds while providing riders with weightlessness and a truly wicked ride. Wicked Cyclone will be the first coaster of its kind to have a 200-degree stall and two Zero-G Rolls. Riders will also be able to experience more airtime than any other coaster in New England on Wicked Cyclone.

Wicked Cyclone will be storming into Six Flags New England, summer 2015 and will be a “must ride” for the ultimate thrill seekers.

Six Flags is also announcing the start of 2015 Season Pass sales with a limited time offer thru Labor Day Flash Sale featuring the lowest prices of the year on 2015 Passes. August 28 through September 1, guests will receive a free upgrade to a Gold Season Pass with each Pass purchased for $49.99 each, which is $10 less than a single day admission. Gold Season Passes include admission to both Six Flags New England and Hurricane Harbor, and any other Six Flags theme park, as well as free parking and special admission offers for friends. 2015 Season Passes provide unlimited visits any operating day for the rest of 2014 (including park admission to Fright Fest®) and all of 2015.
