This is a spin off post from the NE Haunts thread. a discussion was beginning bout it's haunted trailer attraction and I though it was best to start a topic dedicated to the park/zoo. Lets discuss the attraction as well as the good and bad points of the attraction.

    Re: York's Wild Kingdome

Its an ok place. At least it also has a zoo. Its been a while since my last visit.

They have two funhouses, and those are fun, and are my favorite attractions they have. Everything else they have are nothing special, and alot of them you may find at your local carnival.

Now the problem with their haunted house is that nothing jumps out at you. The only thing that does startle you is the buzzer. I feel the haunted house is sort of a waste when you could rather go through the funhouses. The haunted house needs animatronics that jumps out at you. It doesn't have to be super intense ones. It also wouldn't hurt to add vibrating floors that trigger when you step on them. I would also add some hanging objects within the pitch black sections.

It has also been a while for me I still haven't been on the new Wacky mouse, but I have been on Wacky warm coasters their are fun and fir adults easily but are nothing special.

The zoo is pretty good and they have a good selection of animals.

The one good thing about the rides is they give you a long cycle. longer then I have had at some carnivals. the fun houses are fun but I wish they woudl just bit one and use the space of the second one for a different attraction.

The Haunted house walk-through is horrible really waist of space. I rather see a real ride through haunted house even if it is trailer mounted. The Mirror maze(trailer) is also horrible.

Yea you do get a longer cycle, but after a while it starts to get boring. Their scrambler they had when I went was one of the weakest I have been on. Probably just as weak as the one at SFNE. I agree their mirror maze was nothing special. It also didn't have another floor and a slide to go down.

I agree the haunted house should be replaced with a different attraction, and I agree a ride through dark attraction would be a good replacement. Or better yet, a haunted funhouse!

The camel funhouse is shorter than the jungle one, but it is still fun. A 3d funhouse would be a good replacement, or upgrade.

Sucks to hear that. on my trip, which was a while ago, the scrambler got pretty fast.

A 3D fun-house sounds fun but they need to have more styles of attractions the ride area is pretty small. A ride through haunted house is different not only in the park but the area. I think they really need to pick one fun house. (I'm a bit more partial to the jungle one) and swap out everything else for new attractions.

The round up is what somewhat saves this place. It's pretty dumpy.

The Round up is very good. and yes the place is a bit dumpy. I do like the amount of trees they had on my last trip.

thats funny. I guess the scrambers top speed varies depending on the day.

This place did have a crummy carnival atmosphere. Thankfully it wasnt as load as a carnival.

I would like them to add an inverting thrill/flat ride. e.g. Zipper, or a power surge.

I'd like to see them just tear it all down and rebuild.

The park only has a few main buildings most of what they have, fun houses, haunted house, mirror maze, games, etc are all trailers.

I think one thing that woudl greatly help yorks is a signature ride. Everything they have is pretty mainstream.

On a recent trip, I saw the funhouse is starting to look like garbage. It needs a repaint. Wait.. EVERYTHING is looking like garbage.. how much longer do we think before we say goodbye?

York's is not goign anywhere anytime soon. the Fun houses may look dumpy but they are paid for. The park dose well for its size and like pointed out the parking lot was full.
