It's been way too long since i have visited this attraction. Really wish they did more to enhance the park each year. I can understand slow addition with rides or animals but it seems like they are riding things out a bit.

that haunted house isnt going anywhere the current park manager built that himself in the early 80's and it traveled the new england fair circuit. He was an independant operator tht owned a few rides. The haunted house was modeled after the one that fiesta shows owns except fiesta uses live actors in it. It only goes up 5-6 times a year but goes to most major fairs.

It goes up 5-6 times where. I have never seen a walk through Haunted house with actors at any Fiesta shows set up I have been to. I have been to a few of the fairs as well as the season kick off even in Revier.

That aside. the attraction is not good. Sadly like I have seen at a number of smaller parks they keep sub par attraction or unneeded attraction simply because it's a favorite of someone but not necessarily the customers.

it goes up at the topsfield fair, rochester fair, marshfield fair, cheshire fair, and hopkinton fair and once a while will go to another spot if they need an extra ride.

Thanks for the info. It would be interesting to see how it preforms compared to their more traditional ride through haunts.

Anyways, back to Yorks. The park has a lack of space and one of the most disappointing selections or any attraction New England has to offer. Having rides that are not worth hitting more then once is a big no no. A walk-through that is dated and sub par dose nothing to drive guests and make then want to stay longer.

The park just run-down. It needs to be redone with modern rides, better food and modern landscape.

It doesn't even need that much work. yes it could use new buildings, fewer trailers, and a couple talk worthy rides. The trees are great and there is a few solid areas with good green space. Ye a few landscaped corners would be nice but it's not what drags then down. Outside of the Dark ride, they don't need 2 fun houses, that many kiddie rides, etc. The FEC equipment like Bating cages and go carts really impact the overall feel of the rides section.

Screamscape is reporting that the park is up for sale. Asking price is $14 million. The park will operate this season as a buyer is sought.

I've been hearing this as well for a while. It's not a bad price but a buyer should be going in with something closer to 20. The park needs some TLC and upgrades.
